The home was very much as described in the VRBO listing, the booking process was secure, arrival, check-in and checkout were well coordinated, communication with some delay, regarding nonworking cable TV, otherwise excellent experience.

We had a wedding at the Saybrook Inn and decided to stay here for 3 nights. What a fantastic home, very cute, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it strongly, it’s pretty much a no-brainer everything you need is within the home, including a nice weber grill outside. I really don’t know what more you can ask for.

We had a great stay and enjoyed the location, very close to our daughters wedding at the Inn. The house was clean and nicely decorated. No complaints at all. Loved the fenced yard for the dog. Would definitely stay again!

Although a nice place, I had several issues. When I realized I was getting automated responses thru the messaging system it was futile to continue. I called the owner, Ali, who never returned my call. It was impersonal.
Loved being with my mom, sis, and daughter for a week. Beaches close by. Casinos close. Shopping and restaurants close.
It might sleep six people, but definitely not comfortably! Tiny sitting area with loveseat and chair. 2 beach towels. Spiders. Bird poo all over backyard furniture. Tall grass and lots of overgrown weeds. No dishwasher…and no dish soap. Could not get to bikes in back of shed. Heavy and full garbage can. Very dirty filter in upstairs mini split. I expected more for the price I paid.

Clean, uncluttered, fenced yard, close to beach, great neighborhood for walking, quiet, everything we needed. Totally forgot how much work it is taking a 5 month old (and a 5 year old) to the beach; so great that Harvey’s Beach is less than 10 mins away. Perfect 5 day getaway for my daughter, grandchildren and me!

This property is great if you are attending an event at the hotel nearby. It was clean and convenient, but could use some upgrades like a dishwasher etc.

We had the most relaxing stay last week. The house is conveniently located, clean, comfortable, everything you could possibly need right at your fingertips!

Stayed at house for a wedding weekend. Everything was nice. Two bikes were super fun. Dog friendly backyard even though we don’t have a dog. Location fabulous. Drive to town beach easily. Only two things to note 1.the stairs to second floor are steep 2. no dishwasher. We would come back!

We loved staying at Cove Cottage ! Plus our 14 year young Jack Russell,
who can show anxiety when traveling, was relaxed and cozy here!

Oh by the way, there is the Long Island sound, with great beaches only a short drive or walk away.

My family - three adults and one dog - spent several days (but not long enough!) at this delightful home. It was very clean, very comfortable, nicely decorated, and smartly set up - we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The fenced in backyard was an additional plus - I enjoyed sitting in the shade of the umbrella on the patio while my dog basked in the sunshine on the grass. The location is just perfect. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful - thank you to them for making everything so welcoming. We look forward to returning.

This is a great property, clean and great location. Nice fenced in yard if you bring your dog. The hosts are easy to communicate with and the neighbors are friendly. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Old Saybrook

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage is beautifully decorated and very conveniently located for exploring Old Saybrook. We enjoyed the use of the bikes and firepit and greatly appreciated the wonderful restaurant recommendations provided by the owners. We look forward to returning in the future!

My husband and I (and out two dogs) LOVED our stay at Cove Cottage. The small yard was great for both the dogs and we loved the grill! The inside was super cozy and the kind bed very comfortable. The bathrooms were both modern and beautifully organized. I cook nearly every evening in the well equipped kitchen and we enjoyed daily walks to the marina and the the Saybrook Point Inn where we had a nice lunch everyday. The walking and biking in this area is fantastic and the area VERY pet friendly. Our stay could not have been better. Cove Cottage is steps away from the marina but tucked away off the road for a peaceful and quiet getaway.

Contacted the owner about a mice found on the kitchen counter after we caught it on top of the stove. She was very concerned about her ratings not the mice problem. Even threaten to have us escorted out since I was making the mice a big deal! Shameful for the price to have to worry about mice in your belongings and food.

Our stay at this beautiful home was perfect. Everything we needed was at our disposal . The house was clean and comfortable , the yard was private and so very peaceful and we could walk or bike to dinner . Each morning we took a walk across the causeway which was so beautiful and enjoyed golfing at Fenwick.. We look forward to a return trip.

Perfect getaway!
Had such a lovely time staying at this property. The cottage is absolutely adorable and was perfect for my husband and I (and our two dogs). Location is perfect and the resort nearby was lovely place to spoil ourselves with nice dinners and spa treatments! We will be back!

Lovely Cottage!
A beautifully renovated home in a terrific location in Old Saybrook. The main bedroom upstairs is spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The other two bedrooms are quite small but comfortable. There is however only dining seating for four. There were five of us and we found it a bit tight.
The backyard is lovely and very private. It is completely enclosed by a fence. We spent most of our evenings there.
Ali and JIm are awesome hosts. Very responsive and helpful.

Perfect in every way!
We loved everything about this cottage. It was a great location. Walking distance to the marina, restaurants, the causeway and a park that our dog loved.
The neighbors were very friendly and it was peaceful and quiet. The inside of the cottage was beautifully furnished and the master suite upstairs was large with a very comfortable bed. There was even a choice of dogs beds for Benny to chose from :)
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need and more.
The fenced in backyard was a perfect place to relax and read a book.
Already looking forward to returning!!

Cove Cottage #1 Fan!!!
We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend to reunite (finally!) with extended family. This home was warm, cozy, beautifully decorated, and exceeded all my expectations! The energy was inviting and comfortable, the space was immaculate, and frankly I didn’t want to leave :-) Highly recommend *****
