The kitchen is well stocked, the appliances are nice & easy to use, and the amenities are nice, especially the elevator and luggage cart. This is the only home I’ve stayed where a luggage cart was available. The kitchen also has a nice size pantry (with sliding shelves) so you can store your food items without dispersing them throughout various drawers. The top floor master is nice for folks who don’t want to maneuver stairs. We would definitely come back!

The house was well appointed for the most part - although, for some reason, there were no knives (other than butter knives) when we were there. We could not cut our onion and tomatoes for sandwiches. This was reported, but not resolved. There were a couple of maintenance issues as well. Thankfully, Suncoast addressed those issues in a reasonable amount of time. I agree with other reviewers that the furniture is really showing it’s age - we chose to think of it as “Golden Girls Chic” and just enjoy it all. It’s a great spot for shell collecting and the house feels very cozy and secluded.

We had access to all the community amenities too. We saw dolphins swimming by every single day. Because the house is in a community we had the beach to ourselves almost every single day. No crowds! That was definitely a plus. The floor plan was great and having use of the elevator was much needed with the toddlers. There was even a baby gate available for the stairs (although it needs to definitely be replaced). The house was very clean. Our only issue is that it would be nice if at least coffee filters and salt and pepper were supplied. Every other rental we've stayed at has supplied those. No golf carts are allowed, so we had to drive every time we went into town, but not a big deal because we were there for the beach! The living room furniture could use a little updating, but other than that, everything was good. Definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

I loved the Breakers! Everything you need is furnished. The kitchen has everything you need. It has an elevator which was wonderful for getting our luggage up and down. Beds very comfortable. The only negative was the internet connection was iffy at any time. Luckily, our son had rented the house next door so we were able to hook into their internet. Overall, however, it was fantastic.

The house had plenty of room and was practically on top of the beach. The whole deck of the main level was screened in which kept bugs away. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We had one minor maintenance issue but it was tended to quickly. We did our first bay charter fishing trip with Island Charters and had a blast. Krista and Louis are both personable and knowledgeable. We caught four large and beautiful redfish and took them home filleted. Would highly recommend this charter company. The plantation provides a beautiful place to bike and we even played on the pickle ball courts. We ate outside at Paddy’s Raw Bar enjoyed takeout from BJs Pizza ( a family favorite). Our trip was the highlight of the Covid year for sure!! Already planning our next trip!!

Reviewer Comments: Greatest feature might be the wrap around porches on 2nd and 3rd floors with gorgeous views of sun and moon rises and beautiful sunset skies.Also, all bedrooms and the main living area all overlook the Gulf which is quite rare. Bedrooms are very comfortable and well done. Elevator is super quiet-- another rarity. Fast internet. Kitchen is well stocked with great appliances overall, however the stove is a unique design with Very very hard to read on off/temp control touch pad panel which is build into the flat stove top. When you try to wipe the stove top you constantly turn burners on and off. Living room and dining room furniture is due for improvement or replacement. We stayed there last year and again this year. The dining table was painted over very was sticky last year, still sticky this year. Needs to be redone by a professional. We threw a sheet over it for the week so we could play games cards, and eat without having to touch it. The Breakers can't be beat for location and views. We may well be back but do hope the furniture will be replaced in the common areas. Also a fish table would be a wonderful and very helpful addition.

The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked if you love to cook. Obviously the house works really well for us since we have rented it often. Reviewer Comments: This was a great house: good floor plan for two couples, very close to the beach, and the home was in great condition considering its age. There were a few minor issues: it takes FOREVER to get hot water in the master bath and kitchen; the coffeepot was so clogged, it took 45 minutes to make 3 cups of coffee on our first morning (I cleaned it with vinegar that day and fixed that issue); the kitchen faucet is a menace, get ready for water everywhere when you use it; the edges of the dining table were super sticky (not sure why, and cleaning it did not help much); and the kitchen was poorly stocked, but we saw that in earlier reviews and came prepared. We were able to deal with all of these little issues, and they did not prevent us from having a great 10 day stay at The Breakers. This is one of the first houses in 35 years that we would consider for a repeat stay!

The only issue was the elevator not working for a day. Finally reset and was fine. I might suggest posting directions on how to use the elevator and to make sure the gate is completely closed after exiting the elevator. This would have helped. Very nice house. Would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

It was nice to see that some improvements are being made like the new flooring and boardwalk repair. While it was nice to not have the sticky dining room table, the new table and chairs are way to formal for a beach house. There were clothes left in the washing machine. We tried to do laundry but the water leaked out the bottom of the washer into the carport but also spread to the bedroom across the hall. I called immediately and asked for towels but they did not arrive until several hours later. I asked when the washer would be fixed so we could use and was told they had a call into the maintenance dept; but we never heard back from anyone. Pretty annoying not to be able to do wash. A minor complaint is the towels; they were so thin and rough. Not great for sunburn. Make sure you bring your own coffee filters, garbage bags and dishwasher detergent!

The house suited our needs for size, but was disappointing considering the $700/night that we paid. The screen door was missing a panel which allowed the bugs to get onto the porch, the WiFi did not work well at all, some of the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the sheets like sandpaper, the microwave light didn't work, the kids couldn't get the TV in one of the bedrooms to work, and no dish soap. These are not major issues but were disappointing considering the price. The house is advertised for 10, but there were only sheets and towels for 8 (or if extra linens, it wasn't obvious where). Luckily 3 can fit in a king bed and we had plenty of beach towels! Beautiful location, and we still had a good time. I just won't pay that much money for that house again.
