Incredible location, comfortable in all ways... we enjoyed the kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, strolling through the wood, and collecting berries. We jumped in the ocean off the dock and it was chilling, but perfect! Private, but not too far from town. Amazing hosts, we couldn't have been happier. Mahalos!

Reviewer Comments: Thimbleberry Bay House was a great home base from which to explore Sitka. A rental car was a must as it's a few miles from the main core of Sitka, but it was so worth it! The house has an amazing view of the bay from every room! We could just sit and watch the eagles soar!! They offer a hot tub and kayaks as well. It was clean and comfortable and well stocked.

There were very few rentals in Sitka that could accommodate our group of two families. Thimbleberry Bay fit the bill. We loved our stay. We got to meet Erik and Krystina, property owners, and they were awesome! Loved the view, the kayaks, the windows, the exceptional kitchen. We’re already planning our trip for 2021.

This property is quite beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is great and many delicious meals were prepared there while we stayed. It was a great beginning and landing spot to each day while we were there. However, we were hoping to spend time in the water at the location which really was not possible. DO NOT come here if you want to enjoy the water at this location as the water access is limited to high tide at best. The path to the water is overgrown and difficult to navigate and the waters bottom is very rocky and impossible to walk on. We saw the kayaks mentioned but they were not easily accessible and would have been impossible to launch. Also, the pictures of the hot tub look great but although it was very clean and warm, it is an older model and the jets did not work while we were there, so that was disappointing since we paid an additional fee for the hot tub that was part of the rental price. Also, there is a distinct odor to the house when you first enter it each time you leave but once the windows are opened that seemed to dissipate. We would have left the windows open 24 hours to avoid the odor but there were no screens on most of the windows. Other than that the please was a tranquil paradise and we would certainly be interested in returning in the future.

The house was spotless, with phenomenal art, and modern appliances. It was an oasis in an luxurious Alaska style. Then the berry picking, kayaking, hot tub, to top it all off. Thank you! This home was beautiful! We picked blueberries at the property and made pancakes. The only thing I would request is to have pull-up shades in the master bedroom for privacy and to keep the room dark at night.
