The location was the most redeeming quality. The bedding and towels were clean and fresh, and the cookware was good quality.

In the written description of the property, it did not mention that there was no air conditioning. The only mention of it anywhere on the listing is where it is shown in the screenshot I added. This was a huge disappointment since the weekend we arrived it was 90°. It felt very cluttered, decor wise. The furniture was not the same as what the pictures showed. It smelled like dogs upon arrival. Linens, towels, and kitchen were clean, but due to all the knickknacks it was rather dusty. The basement smelled extremely damp and mildewed. There was a dehumidifier in the basement that was full of water upon arrival, so I emptied it and restarted it. Less than 24 hours later, it had another 2+gallons of water already collected. It’s obvious there was previous water damage on the interior of the exterior walls, possibly due to windows being left open, because there are water stains on walls below and around windows . I did not get pictures unfortunately. This was our first weekend away from home in five years and it was really disappointing.

The decor was very old, from the 1970’s and I was not sure if the “pink” chair in the very old and “dirty” looking basement may have come from the dumpsters. The chair has very visible stains. The decor was not appropriate for small children. The log cabin is adorable and has a lot of potential.

The house was amazing!

It had no air conditioning
