Being lied to.The place was smaller than in the photos. The Ad said it was a detached property. There is an apartment attached to the side of the house. You DON'T GET THE ENTIRE PROPERTY. I brought this to the attention of the rental company and they contacted the owner. He said that there would be no-one staying in the apartment while we were renting the house. HE LIED. Had people coming and going past the living room window. Cars pulling up in the driveway. The entire house was dirty and grimey. No proper cutlery or glassware. Looked like the owner went to the second hand shop and picked up "a few bits" for the kitchen. Kitchen utensils were grimey. The oven had greasy frying pan and roasting tin in it. We had only TWO adult sized forks. There were only 4 different sized dessert spoons. I HAD TO GO TO TESCO ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND BUY CUTLERY TO EAT OUR DINNER. Had to wash EVERYTHING before I could use it. Oven door doesn't close properly. Had to stuff cardboard in the gaps to keep the heat in while cooking my Christmas dinner. At one point I had a kitchen chair up against it to keep it closed. There is no dishwasher but the owner didn't have anything to wash dishes with. One manky drying cloth. No cloths for cleaning either. What angered me is the lies the owner told. I was concerned about the hygiene of the property after reading a review so I called the rental company to make sure that it would be ok when we arrived. The owner assured the company that he would have a cleaner in before we arrived. HE LIED. I made an enquiry as to whether the oven was fit for purpose as it looked old in the photos. Owner said it was. HE LIED. This place was a total nightmare. I do NOT rate it at all. The bedrooms were grimey too. I had to wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes. It was black grime coming off. I wish I was exaggerating but this place is awful. Stay away. The owner DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE. He just wants your money.
