Very clean beach house, great location, very nice contact with the rental company, very safe and much more. Overall we felt very comfortable and would come back anytime.

The beach is soft sand, just the right amount of waves (in July), a mile from the kailua village. It is perfect! the house is beautiful. The owners clearly love the property with lots of art and other touches that make it a home. The property was very well kept, the house extremely clean. the living area cannot be more perfect with ocean on one side and a great pool on the other with the living room in between. I can't say enough about the lawn and the beach access. An amazing tree with a large canopy provides shade all day for sitting either on the lawn facing the ocean or on the beach. All was perfect.Because of a scheduling glitch with VRBO, the property was not ready for two days after we got there. The property managers had found us a wonderful place just down the beach to use for two days even before our plane landed. They were extremely helpful and made the transition as easy as possible. Thank you Steve for all your help. We are ready to book again for our next trip!

The property is exactly as pictured and advertised. Wonderful oceanfront location with an immense yard and private pool. Steven, the property manager, was quick to respond to any questions and provided excellent service. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of beach towels for enjoying the ocean or pool. The owners obviously take great pride in this home as they should. It's a beautiful home in an amazing location. Close to town and all that Kailua has to offer.

Is it possible to fall in love with a tree? Whether providing contrast to the sea, sand and sky or shelter from the sun we marveled at its beauty. The house itself I would characterize as casual, comfortable luxury. Nothing pretentious or too precious. The kitchen was well outfitted with all the appliances and accessories you could ask for. A lovely basket of local goodies greeted us along with a very clean and well maintained home. Our family enjoyed long walks on the beach, bocce on the lawn, boogie boarding right outside our door, nearby hikes, eating at local food carts and restaurants. If you’re looking for a more authentic Hawaiian vacation away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this is your place.

Loved sleeping in a very comfy bed with the windows open to the sound of the surf, then getting up at dawn for walks on the beach for the scenic sunrise and the brightest double rainbow I've ever seen.Inside, the house is very spacious, and the kitchen has high end pots and pans, an induction stove, a Vitamix blender, a Zojirushi rice cooker.... Only nit was that the washer had mildew, which is not a surprising for a front-loader used by renters in humid area. However, the sheets etc. must have been washed elsewhere because they had no mildew smell.

The bathrooms are modern with huge showers! The house is super comfortable with all the rooms delightfully furnished and well supplied. The online description was totally accurate.The pool was very enjoyable and refreshing after walking along world famous Kailua Beach or sightseeing around the island.The management team were very responsive from beginning to end. Patty was great at teaching us how to operate the TV!The location is in close proximity to Kailua town with all its restaurants and coffee shops. Times Supermarket is a treasure trove for shopping.We are already planning our next trip to Kailua and will definitely stay at Gigi's Retreat again.

It was away from the crowds of Honolulu, but close enough for us to drive there and other places on the the island. But the highlight was the property. Highly recommended.
