Loved the pool area, the garden with loungers to relax, and the fact we had two ground floor apartments for my elderly mum with an easy and short walk to the pool and garden and restaurant. Probably about 1/2 minutes. Enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the place through the day and the buzz in the restaurant in the evening. The food was absolutely delicious and service excellent.

We found it a wee bit difficult to find because there was no sign out onto the road. It was at the side. Also, we made the mistake of going up to the old village of Fosdinovo but it isn’t there. If you are looking to be in an old village in the hills of Fosdinovo it isn’t that but we had absolutely no complaints.

Close to a good grocery store.

It’s in a really weird location. Too simple breakfast buffet. Small pool in the middle of the restaurant.

A pure wifi connection!

The Hotel la Pietra is situated down a side road away from the main roads and therefore is in a very quiet location. Free secure car parking is a nice bonus. The room was a reasonable size and it had a balcony where you could sit outside and enjoy the sun. The bedroom offered all the usual facilities including a fridge. The bathroom was a reasonable size, clean, well stocked and well maintained. The hotel offers a lovely swimming pool and also sun loungers if you wanted to use them. We had a meal in the restaurant which was plentiful in portion size and tasty. Very good value for money. Breakfast was a self serve buffet with plenty of fresh items available. There is also a really lovely friendly cat that wonders around. All in all we had a very pleasant stay, thank you

We had a room ved a little garden. The restaurent was really good. A nice pool and relaxing area. Privat free parking. Everything was clean and nice, the staff was very friendly.

The internet was poor.

Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Bed was comfortable and food at the restaurant was amazing.

Breakfast was very basic and it lacked the same quality of the restaurant. Location was a bit far from everything but nice in the countryside.

The hotel is located bit of distance from La spezia but it had great access to the city through motorway and normal road which only take 10 to 15 mins, for the room, it had great space and clean which met our needs and comfortable to stay.

The hotel rooms are nicely separated from one another. We visited in the month of April (easter) and temperature is still mild, but I notice the airconditioned had issues when switch to colder temperature so better have that check if going during summer. Communication with the staff was great, they were approachable to our needs. Breakfast was adequate. It's an Italian buffet as also advertised so don't expect warm foods. I wish the tables were set properly though during breakfast and not just one long table. Swimming pool was not yet open but we saw it and it is definitely smaller than shown in the picture. A great plus though is their Elia restaurant, a bisteccheria /foccaceria type restuarant if you would like one of the best Fiorentina steak in the region. Don't forget to reserve it though in advance. It was all worth it. In summary, our short easter stay in this hotel is good and we definitely recommend it.

Perhaps improve a bit the variety /quality of theh breakfast.

We decided to change hotels from Santa Caterina Park Hotel because of being messed around and I’m glad we did. The hostess was very welcoming and made us feel like she could not do enough for us. Especially as we had arrived early and they had to quickly get our room cleaned but this was no problem. The room itself was beautiful. Spotlessly clean, fridge was full of drinks and the view was amazing. The shower and air conditioning was a luxury. Later that night we went to the restaurant Elia and it was the nicest meal we had eaten in all of Liguria. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we were made to feel most welcome. Especially from a grey haired lady we didn’t get the name of. She made me a cocktail she’d never heard of from my instructions and it was amazing. We will definitely be coming back again! We had booked a night at the hotel (which was amazing!) and booked a table at the restaurant. What an amazing place! The restaurant itself isn’t overly big but what a lovely atmosphere. The staff could not do enough to accommodate us, we felt very cared for. Super friendly and very attentive but also very relaxed. But my god the food was something else. Genuinely one of the best meals we had eaten in Liguria and maybe even Italy. We have wined and dined all around the world and been to some amazing restaurants but this was up there with the best. The focaccia was to die for, freshly made in the wood fired oven meters from where we sat. The selection of meats was mouth watering. Then the main course we ordered the steak (which I think was a florentine steak) and the flambé pasta which was beyond delicious. You were served a small grill to fry you own cuts of steak to your liking which was an amazing experience. An the flavours were decadent. The flambé pasta was an event in itself being served out of the cheese wheel and was heavenly. All the sides that came with it were also delightful. And the desert was divine. I cannot say enough nice things about this

Room was very clean and well-kept. Staff was generally friendly (when I did encounter them), the welcoming gift I received was very welcome, and I found very pleasant.

The bathroom window in my room opened up directly to the parking driveway, which in of itself wasn't an issue since the windows were frosted, but it was fairly annoying having cars lights blast through the window in the dead of night & having to listen to workers directly outside my window.

The swimming pool is lovely and the restaurant is great. The food in the restaurant is wonderful. The room I stayed in was huge.

Unfortunately the internet didn't work. The ground floor room that I had was next to the door to and from the building so every time someone came in or out, the door slammed. I could also hear any movement of furniture from the room above.

Room was good, roomy, comfortable, airconditioning, clean etc.

The hotel is next to a restaurant, no problem here. But the hotel is not easily found from outside, when we arrived gate was closed, and only the name of the restaurant is visible from the outside.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable and well equipped rooms and delightful staff! Also we had dinner in the restaurant as we were only staying one night and were too tired to search for somewhere else, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced so thoroughly recommended! Also really appreciated the complimentary drinks in the fridge in the room especially as it was 34 degrees outside so a few chilled complimentary drinks was definitely a nice touch!

This really was an excellent hotel and a lovely stay so very little to "not like", if i have to be picky i suppose it would of been good to have a kettle in the room but then everything we could need the staff were delighted to provide and that was free of charge!

Note: We stayed in a bigger room than we originally booked Alessandro was very helpful and doing everything to make sure we had a great stay. The pool and relaxing area was very nice. The room was clean and spacious. The property is an apartment hotel and restaurant in one, which made it very convenient to have amazing dinner. They serve quality products for a good price, and they are specialised in making fresh hand-made focaccia in a stone oven. This ensures a ongoing supply of fresh delicious focaccia at your table all night. The restaurant stays open till late, but we didn’t hear anything from inside the apartment.

Nothing bad, but you need a car to stay at this place as it’s a bit remote. However that was perfect for us to visit the cute town of Sarzana at 6 min away, the beach at about 15 min away, Luca 30 min, Cinque Terre and Pisa at about an hour.
