Pros: Convenient location to Harvard, MIT, BU without being in the craziness of those areas. Right along the river so good if you like running outdoors or just walking outdoors. Also right next door to Trader Joe’s. Great breakfast buffet with all the basics and eggs made-to-order. Very friendly breakfast staff. Well-appointed gym w new and clean equipment! Rooms spacious and very clean—reliable Marriott products.
Cons: not much around else around property except TJ in terms of shopping/dining. Kind of need an Uber/Lyft to get back late at night—I wouldnt recommend walking late at night. Bathroom is a bit small and definitely the layout and size were from a different era.

Great location and loved having onsite laundry facilities. Some staff were super nice but some were sub par. Don’t understand $32 per night destination charge that is given back as F&B credit when the only options to use are at breakfast and horrible Japanese restaurant if you can even call it that.

This hotel was great and the staff was the best especially Sandra and Dimetrius, you just couldn’t ask for any better people. The restaurant was very good

The hotel stay was nice but there are so many "extra" expenses you don't expect. Destination charge of $32 a day, $45 a day to park, & no free breakfast. Added over $200 extra for a 3 night stay & there was no pool. Our room did have a wonderful view.

The hotel and the rooms need to be updated along with the horrible beds and horrible pillows. For the money they charged me it was nothing like the pictures on their website and you would think it would come with a free Continental breakfast.

Great location and very clean! Loved that they had a couple of kayaks and bikes available to use. At first we thought we were going to have to drive to a rental location but were pleasantly surprised when they were available. Able to get a light breakfast with the required hotel resort fee.

Free bikes to get around Boston, helpful staff, food credit to the room per night. Onsite restaurant not great, close to Cambridge and can walk along river. Quite a walk to downtown Boston but could bus , taxi or bike it easily. Rooms spacious and great view of the river.

I would definitely stay at the Courtyard Cambridge again! We had a room next to the elevator, so I was nervous that it would be noisy, but we didn’t hear a sound all night! Spotless and comfortable and not too expensive - just what we wanted!

Absolutely love love LOVED this place! Lives up to the Marriott name and has excellent staff! Stayed there when my father was hospitalized, and Samia and Shaon went above and beyond to ensure that the stay was comfortable for my entire family (including 2 y/o). Can't wait to be back for a fun family trip.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The view of the Charles River was beautiful. The room was clean but some of the paint was peeling in the bathroom and the window curtains need to be replaced. I would stay there again.

Came to Boston for charity event. Initially the front desk worker was not that friendly, but let it slide. Asked for absolutely nothing from the staff for my 2 day stay. First day a housekeeper entered the room despite a do not disturb sign while we were in bed. Ok just an accident no big deal. But then I get home and see they charged me a smoking fee. I did not smoke in my room. Alleged they had two detections. Could not explain how. Said they would send me a report. They did not. Now im fighting with corporate to get my money back. Save yourself the hassel and stay elsewhere. Not worth it . Seeing lots of reviews lately saying the same thing.

We stayed here for one night to attend a concert at Fenway. We had planned to walk since it’s only a little over a mile away. It ended up being over 95 degrees that day so probably not the best idea. Any other day would be a fairly easy, safe walk. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts just across the road and a couple of food stores. The staff was very friendly, parking was ample even though the hotel was fully booked and our room was very clean. The continental breakfast was decent. It wasn’t exactly free but we received back a credit to use in the amount of the addition resort type fee all hotels charge now. So we picked out a bunch of assorted items for our ride home and didn’t have to pay anything additional. We would definitely stay here again. Close enough to the landmarks but away from hustle and bustle.

They tried to scam me! After my stay…they charged my card $140 smoking fee and didn’t even contact me. Then when I contacted them they lied and said they had a report showing I set off a smoking detector. So I ask for the report and then they back track and said it must have been a bad night audit and they would refund my money in 5 to 7 business days. Still no refund

Hidden costs recouped with coupons was disappointing when reviewing the bill. Cost of parking was high. One elevator broke during our stay. However, room was clean and pretty comfortable, staff was friendly and courteous, breakfast buffet and Japanese restaurant were both good, and good view of the river.

The carper of the end of hallway is always wet, I don’t know why. Maybe down from the ceiling, everytime when I make up in front of mirror, my slippers will get wet. Don’t like it.
