The staff here are very nice and professional. However, upon entering our room, we were immediately greeted by an unpleasant odor, possibly residual smoke or mold, which was quite off-putting for non-smokers like us. Additionally, the bathroom sink drained so slowly that toothpaste residue remained at the bottom. On a positive note, the breakfast provided was a redeeming feature that added some value to our stay. I would never stay here again, but instead, would pay the extra $ to stay at the Fairfield Inn.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They have roaches and the entire building smells like a portable toilet. Disgusting. The bathroom was dirty and the mattresses have plastic covers, so they probably have bed bugs too. Despite having prepaid, they tried to charge me again for that room.

Lots of cobwebs on the outside of the windows!! A couple webs in the room that I knocked down! Tje door handle to the bathrom was missing (just a hole through the door where it should be), and a tile in the bathroom was laying on the floor! There were holes in the carpet, but I’m sure all that was scheduled for repairs. The mattresses were comfy and the pillows were very nice!! Breakfast was adequate!! Nothing fancy, but a good selection. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly and courteous and helpful! Would stay there again next trip to Port Clinton!

No frills, very small pool. Love that it’s lakeside. Staff doesn’t check on you or do ANY housekeeping while you stay. We stayed 4 nights and had to request towels. Bring a blanket there’s are just sheets.

The location of this hotel is amazing! Close to the lake, close to the ferries, and other attractions. The breakfast left something to be desired. Not a lot of options. There was also never anyone physically at the front desk. Would stay again in a bind, but may not be my first choice.

Disgusting property. Bugs crawling all over the walls and bed. Checked in and immediately left. Was told Expedia would need to refund me. Expedia said hotel refunds. I’ve called the hotel numerous occasions (they don’t even answer the phone) Talked to two people eventually, both said the hotel manager would be in “later” THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I call, it just rings and rings

On the positive the sheets and towels were clean. Also, the pool area on the Lake was very nice, and well appointed with tables, chairs, recliners, and rockers. Very nice space from which to watch the July 4 fireworks all around the area. However, the property was not kept clean both inside and out. Hall and stair carpets never seemed to get cleaned, especially the stairs. I had been told the tub was low and easy to step into, it was, but there no safety bars to hold onto, and the non skid surface in the tub was worn slick. I washed my hair the first night, but not after, as it's not safe travelling alone and risking slipping in the tub. As it was I had to be extremely careful! I am 75, so I have to be especially careful. The property itself is quite old and shows it's age. That said, it was a little less than $200 per night. In the future, I might choose to stay fewer nights and book the Holiday Inn Express, or Marriott Fairfield.

Loved the location. Pool/deck area is right on the lake. Rooms were nice and quiet. Next to an ice cream shop (the banana split was so good and the small is really big) also next door to a sea food restaurant and Big boys restaurant.

Wonderful place! The staff is absolutely amazing, room was clean and pool and deck were so relaxing. You can watch the sun set and rise all in the same place. They even have rocking chairs out there to comfortable hang out.

The people/staff were nice. The property was dirty and smelled of smoke. With a million bugs stuck to the window all over the hotel.

Just an unfortunate property. It’s nice down the street but it’s dingy and dirty there.

Lots of bugs in first room and they gave us a second room which still had bugs, just not as many.

There was a power outage in area and we were forced to move to another hotel due to severe heat. Facility appears in very poor condition overall.

This place was filthy, they were bugs in the Bathroom, the linens were dirty. I booked the room for four people, and there was only one towel in the bathroom. I had to go and ask for More. The pool was disgusting, I tried to clean it, but eventually, we didn’t get in the door from the pool to the hotel was locked and broken. They don’t care as they only had a sign to call. The outdoor area was dirty, windows, dirty, everything was dirty. I wish the reviews were honest before I booked here. Everyone else staying there share the same experience.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any hotel... It was bad from the moment I walked in and my girlfriend went to use the restroom .. upon entering said restroom she saw the office person but thankfully just zipping up his pants. Didn't bother to lock the door. So after that we checked in and got our room. As we entered the room the smell of smoke was very strong and just a dirty musty smell all together.. then we noticed that the room looked nothing like the room on the website.there was a piece of carpet stapled to the wall that was falling off and staples littered the area. Then we noticed the black mold on the wall. At that point we were done. I approached the front desk and told them my concerns and after about 20 min I finally was told that I would get my money back .. as I walked away I was alerted by by bank that yet another charge had been added in the amount I was to be refunded. So with out going into a lot of details I was double charged and refunded only one .. I then called the manager to see what was going on and she hung up on me after saying it's not her problem. This place is a complete scam and not fit for human habitation.. ease save yourself the horrible memory and boom somewhere else. A garbage can on the beach would be better ...

Overall property is in poor shape, dirty, smells, bathroom sink backed up. This is what I would expect from a 40 dollar a night hotel, definitely not worth the 123.00 a night price.

Terrible check-in process. They only had one of our two reserved! I showed them confirmation, yet they still wanted to charge me regular price for room. Manager finally came in to smooth things over. Claimed "we didn't see your reservation was for two rooms". Used the public desktop to show them!!. Took almost 45 minutes to straighten things out.

Upon arrival we noticed the building covered with Mayflies, trash cans overflowing, we got our room it was clean and tidy low water pressure and toilet seat was broken, we went out to the pool area the chairs were and surrounding areas ( fences,tables,etc) had spider webs full of mayflies,also i guess someone had a party, there were pizza boxes, beer bottles and trash all over overall it was a decent stay just needs a good weekly cleaning on the outside and maybe some fresh paint

Friendly staff. Basic hotel

Was put in two different rooms on 6/7/24 both crawling with bed bugs. The front desk associate was very apologize. Dont advise anyone to stay here hotel dirty and shady le walki g around dri king and doimg drugs in the parking lot.

The only downfall was the timing of when the pool was cleaned, and how the chairs still had spider webs connected to the tables and chairs
