This property is advertised as a “beach resort” that appears lively and energetic in the photos. The “beach access” is a small shaded rocky cove just under the pool area that is mostly populated with guest 65 and older. We saw two middle aged families. Additionally, the hotel is outdated with bulky furniture and tacky decor that looks like a retirement home. Lastly, and most unfortunate, the hotel has a terrible sewage odor that seemed like they were attempting to mask the odor with a perfume type fragrance. It was awful! Oh…and even though you pay 32 euros each for breakfast (that is accommodating to primarily a German/Dutch culture) you cannot take the breakfast anywhere but the dinning area. My husband and I had an excursion planned at 0900 and our driver was waiting on us. We had not eaten and were hurrying to make ourselves something to-go, and the hostess stopped us and told us we could not leave with our food. I explained to her that we had an excursion planned and a driver waiting on us, but she still would not allow us to leave with the food that she had charged to our room. I did however get those charges removed at check-out, but regardless…I still am not happy that I was treated that way. My husband and I were relieved to get out of there and onto our next location, but saddened that 4 nights of our vacation was spent smelling sewage odor and feeling the need to leave the “nursing home” each morning.

Amazing! The location was perfect to explore the Palma and most of small towns around. The people was very kind and helpful. The beach, the pool l, everything was perfect.

This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful hotel. Lovely setting with some lovely restaurants on the beach next to the hotel. Short walk to the heart of Palma Nova. And only 20 mins from the lovely capital Palma. Also near to some wonderful golf courses.

We had an issue were part of the stripping on the ceiling fell down during the night, we reported this at 9.30am and by the time we left the following day this was still not repaired or looked at. This was part of a light and had live wires showing. Poor customer service.

Upon arriving late in to the night after a delayed flight we were shocked to be told by the individual checking us in that there is no parking onsite. The only reason we booked the property is because of the onsite parking, the employee also did nothing to help us as there was absolutely no parking at that hour of night… I should him the Expedia listing that said parking onsite and he literally was like I know nothing about all that as if it wasn’t his problem. Not a great first impression.

The staff was incredible, particularly the silver-haired gentleman who helped us with a later check out. The breakfast was lovely and the views from the breakfast area were incredible. Great stay!

Half of the plates and cups always dirty (my highlight was lipstick mark on the "clean" coffee cup. Terrible room cleaning quality too.

The staff was exceptionally rude and very few knew any passable English. Housekeeping were the only ones that bothered to greet us.
Breakfast was nice, but the wait staff again were rude and abrasive. Front desk tried to charge us for items we did not have. When he discovered that the receipts were for another room, there was no apology. No good bye, the receipt was placed on the counter and he turned his back to me.

Nice hotel. Pool area a little small but was always beds available, just a lot in the shade which is quite chilly with the breeze. KABO bar connected to hotel is amazing!! Breakfast was good with fresh options and lots of variety. Terrace bar is quite average and very expensive for what it is.

Lovely hotel staff were amazing and the location was super! Walking distance to Palmanova and Portals. Really loved the beach which we preferred as was more of a breeze! Also a couple of restaurants on beach as well as hotels round the pool so perfect choice! I would also like to say my son’s friend lost his wallet on the beach. We couldn’t find it and I asked a reception if one had been handed in! To my utter surprise it had been! So huge huge huge thank you to the beach staff for being so honest and leaving at reception. Felt very safe at this hotel and on the beach too! We would definitely come again!!

My husband and two children had an amazing experience at this hotel. We really enjoyed themed night dining along with live music. This was an amazing location with the views and staff were very helpful and kind. You are walking distance to food options nearby. The hotel is not only beautiful my family and I took advantage of the amazing and relaxing spa facility.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Most of the staff exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome. Great relaxing pool and beautiful views.
The breakfast was wonderful and the only minor criticism I would say is that I found the dinner slightly underwhelming with items overcooked and rather bland. Apart from this my entire stay was wonderful and I would happily return.

The staff was very good, the property was beautiful and quiet. They had breakfast that was a really great buffet every morning. They had a nice pool and a beach are with two bars that served food as well as drinks. The spa had great services for reasonable prices. The surrounding area was like a beach resort with lots of shopping, restaurants and bars. It was very multicultural and there were many options for transportation.

Fantastic stay at Son Caliu! This was our third visit, first time in the hotel (otherwise we have staid at the apartments). We love this place, the only downside is that there were large groups of people that were loud at the pool area and when coming home at the middle of the night, dont think this hotel should be fit for that..

Highly recommended, especially if travelling off peak. Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and evening buffets were excellent. Indoor spa pool and gym are great early in the season when the outdoor pool is still cold! We visited in April and it was busy but not crowded. Parking is on the street if you hire a car, but there were plenty of spaces locally when we went. Regular and easy bus to Palma close to the hotel. Big supermarket 2 minute walk, if you want to buy snacks or bottles of water for days out!

Very nice hotel, secluded yet easy access by bus or taxi to Palma Nova etc. Very good buffet breakfast, including English breakfast. Rooms are very nice and very clean. Spa and pool are excellent. Nice pool area and secluded beach. All the staff where very pleasant.
Highly recommended and would certainly stay again.

Everything you could ever need for escape and relaxation, beautiful hotel, staff so helpful and accommodating to your needs and the surroundings are beautiful lucky to have such warm weather and spent time using the lounge beds, booking premium room gives you access to a small dipping pool and very comfortable beds🙌
