Everything was very nice. Loved the woman on the night shift---went the extra yard to get me ice. It was a Thursday night, a few of us wish the bar was open a bit later. And too bad the pool was closed. Otherwise great hotel with great history!

We liked mostly everything and the staff were wonderful....and we received an unexpected room upgrade which we greatly enjoyed.... only complaints were my mattress was a bit wore out and sunk in the whole middle of the bed...and the door latch and safety latch were extremely loose and really wouldn't have kept anyone out that would have tried to get in in the middle of the night....very nice accommodations otherwise...and very historic.

Loved this hotel. The property was beautiful and the room was well appointed. Very close a walking trail along the Mississippi River.

We only spent one night there but the room was absolutely amazing for the price! It was very clean, beds were comfortable. Just an all around great stay. Definitely will be my first choice next time I'm in the area.

It really does not get more gorgeous and inviting than this hotel. I had a steak at the bar, the quality was phenomenal and the service was excellent. Wonderful stay. Will definitely be back.

Great place to stay when running the Bix!

Hotel is under an “austerity program” and you can tell. Very little staff. Rooms very dirty and old. When I received maid service twice I had to ask took the dirty towels did not replace. Had to continually ask. Only one elevator working. Food very slow and no room service. One bright spot was we arrived at 1 in the morning no Ubers or cans at airport no rental car. They gave us a number of a gentlemen we called at home and he came to get us. He was great. Old old building that they have totally let go.

The building is very pretty, old and historical. The pool was closed, the bowling & game area was filthy and every game was broken. The bowling lanes were closed. None of these things were mentioned at check-in. We had to ask. The market in the lobby was basically empty. Our draft beers all tasted sour, like dirty keg lines. I was charged for parking but didn’t park in their lot. There are not many things to do around for anyone under 21 after 8pm

The hotel is a beautiful art deco building and must have been quite the place to stay in its day. However, it is now a bit rough around the edges- the lady at check wasn’t very friendly, swimming pool was closed, the room was clean and comfortable but the view out the window was so disappointing- make sure you don’t get an ‘inside’ room! Towels in the bathroom were old - see photos! Disappointing. But we had an excellent meal in town at a restaurant called The Half Nelson!

Where do I start? Everything is closed for repair or has signs, everywhere that say do not use. Everything is broken. Martini lounge, closed. Bowling alley, under repair. Hot tub / pool, under repair. Spa, closed on Mondays. Did get told to walk a couple of blocks to the sister hotel though? Weird. The gym, cable machine under repair. The weight bench, duct taped, broken and old. Pretty unsafe. Might want to put an OUT OF ORDER sign on that too... because why not at this point? Just got back to our room from lunch. At first we tried ordering the Chicken Bahn Me sandwich and were told it shouldnt still be on the menu. Shocker, something else out of order. Ordered 2, different, sandwiches and 2 salads. Both salads were wrong and one sandwich. WE WERE LITERALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE THERE. The server said "the cook was new". Literally two orders. Neither the cook nor the SERVER caught it? I could tell the server knew. Don't have guests correct your mistakes. We did however hear the server complain about tips today. Again, after you screwed up the only order in the building at the time. Classy. The fridge in our room was struggling to get cold, so we pulled it out a bit and there's piles of garbage behind it. The shower was luke warm at best and it takes awhile for the sink to drain. The rooms are old which is kind of cool, but there's little things you could do to improve them. Make sure they are clean and maybe touch some stuff up with paint.

Area around hotel had many homeless begging people for things and was kinda dirty. Hotel was very nice. Room was exceptional!!! We were disappointed that the pool was closed along with the hot tub for renovations. This was not shown on the Internet when we booked. This was a big reason why we booked this hotel. However……the staff, especially Stephen and Robert helped make up for that!! Long story short, our car broke down on our way to Davenport and they held our luggage and drove us to get our rentals. They really helped us out without hesitation!! This really made our life easier and feel alot better about getting on the road to our next destination. For that reason we will be coming back!! Got in at 4am after my daughters after prom, staff was very welcoming! Wish I would’ve wrote her name down ! Gentleman I called earlier in afternoon to give heads up we would be arriving very late was also very sweet.

Room was clean. Only reason lower review is we were traveling with kids and pool and bowling alley were closed which was not noted on website and beds were okay but not my fav. Hotel staff were very nice.

First off i couldnt check in till almost 2 hours past check in time. Then i was put in a room with light that flickered and one of my tvs didnt work. Not worth almost 300 a night!

My only complaint was that Expedia didn’t advertise that the pool and bowling alley were closed for maintenance. My family was very disappointed.

The building was beautiful

Pool, bowling and couple restaurants bars closed and was not made aware upon booking. Was not a worth the cost.

There wasn’t a blow dryer in the room. The bathroom was cramped and tile felt dirty. We were suppose to have a city view but had a view of rooftop mechanicals and other guest rooms.

We enjoyed a lovely and unique stay in this historic hotel!

After a speedy checkin process. I was given a handicap room but when I looked with trip advisor it didn’t show that. The remote didn’t work and be careful as the pool and jacuzzi were closed for maintenance. Afterncomoetinf in the hand in hand chili cookoff all day all I wanted to do was relax in the hot. But could not. They did provide me with a free brunch on Sunday. Ok. I’ve said my complaints, but overall a real classy hitek with all the bells and whistles plus a spa I heard was fabulous. Many wedding go on during the weekend but that added to the livelyness of the hotel. Next door to some pubs and great places to eat. The bunch needs to get shrimp back in the menu. Says a brunch without shrimp?

I was charged by Expedia and the hotel. $800 . Not worth that.
