A/c didnt work..front desk tried to fix but was still.a solid 75 entire stay. Miserable

Good location and clean hotel. Have stayed here 3 times and price and location can't beat it . Good breakfast and just an older hotel but enjoyed it.

Great location! A little noisy (traffic) but convenient location close to downtown... so a quick walk. The price was great and the rating was a 96 I believe was posted in the lobby.

This was my second stay at Downtown Inn and I don’t think I’ll ever stay anywhere else. The bed is THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed I have ever slept in, with fantastic pillows and nice cool a/c. I dream of the amazing sleep I get there! You can’t beat the cleanliness, location, or convenience. You just don’t find independent gems like this these days. The owner could easily not keep this place up and charge an arm and a leg, or they could also sell it for a ton of money and remove the last affordable hotel option downtown. Instead, they make modest but high impact upgrades, keep the place sparkling clean, and keep it affordable. I seriously love this place and can’t wait to come back (and get that good good sleep).

Great location for all things Ashville

Bugs in pool and front desk didn’t answer when i called. Other than that it was good.

location was perfect for wandering around downtown Asheville, as well as staggering back after too much sampling at the local breweries. room was kinda small but comfortable. standard continental breakfast fare. pool area was nice. parking is challenging at the hotel itself. very little room for maneuvering. Hotel does have alternate parking ready to go if there isn't any space.

It was fine just loud. You can hear people in the room above you.

Love staying at this property due to the location and value. Recommended to request room in back side of hotel as street side can be noisy on a weekend night

The hotel is outdated but our stay was fine. The dresser in our room had one drawer that was broken. The furniture is old. The elevator in the lobby has black tape on the floor and when it stops at a floor it jerks at least twice. The other elevator by the parking is much better. The pool is really nice and the location of the hotel is good.

We choose this property because of location and price. Many places are within walking distant. The property was clean but it is in need of an upgrade. Staff was very friendly.

We knew the reviews were not the best when we booked, but really were shocked once we arrived at how rough this was. Lobby was hot and unfriendly workers. There was one person in front of us at check-in but they arranged shift change same time as check-in began so took almost 45min to get the keys. I felt bad as there were 6 people behind us. Parking lot is almost non-existent and even with a small 4-door car, we couldn't park in half the spots due to them being tiny. We were there early so got a spot, but a lot of people couldn't park on site. The entire hotel is out of date and worn out. Outside entrance and we arrived and our room was over 90F inside. We had to turn on our AC full blast and find somewhere else to be for nearly 3hrs until it cooled down enough to enter. The door barely closed and ZERO sound-proofing. We heard drunk people, sirens, and cars all night, as loud as if our door was open. Was hard to sleep with it being a warm room and so noisy. They had breakfast but it was pretty weak, even from a hotel standard. Waffle mix was watered down resulting in weirdly crunchy and hollow waffles. Coffee was strange tasting and I think had been made hours before and just sat out. We figured this room was "good enough" for an overnight stay and "just need a place to sleep" and this really didn't even meet that. We don't have crazy expectations, but we almost walked away and found a new hotel. Early check-out occurred next morning. As soon as we could.

Great location and great price! It’s an older establishment, but our room was sparkling clean and very comfortable. Easy walking distance to the many shops, restaurants and bars in downtown Asheville. Highly recommend

Great location in the middle of Asheville. Basic room was clean. Onsite Parking can be a issue but there are other lots close. No real view but there is a pool.

We always enjoy staying here. It's an older Hotel but you can tell that the owners are really putting in great effort to improve the place. For the price you just can't beat it. Free breakfast including waffles until 11:30. Great views too.

What a perfect spot! The location is super convenient for walking to local restaurants, shops and bars. Great pool, room and breakfast! The staff is very friendly! We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room. Everything was extremely clean!

Smoking smelled every where. There is not enough parking space. Have to park in overflow parking, around 500ft away from hotel. Extremely inconvenient, especially under the rain. But the front desk staff is very kind and friendly. The room is good,

I booked this hotel because of its proximity to downtown & the low price. I was disappointed when I got to the hotel & was told there was not daily housekeeping. They were very accommodating when I had to check out a day early due to an ac problem at home.

Good location for the venue's we were attending, however parking is limited. It was good we were able to walk to everything. Breakfast is fare, Waffles, Jimmy Dean Sandwhiches, yogurt. Drinks were not refreshed on Sunday morning. For Asheville, I was surprised to see so many homeless on the streets. I would not stay in town again if I were to visit.
