I have ben staying here for over 40 years and am very happy with the room improvements, especially the separate toilet & shower. My only small complaint is the chair provided is very uncomfortable.

You can hear every word from corridor and closing doors of other rooms.

Outstanding hotel at a great location in Brno. Knowing that next day would be rainy, we headed out for a memorable night stroll around old town. By far the best hotel in our 10 day trip to Eastern Europe. Elegant, comfortable room with every desired amenity, free underground parking, delicious buffet breakfast, all topped by excellent service all around.

It wasn’t good

I upgraded to superior room as the regular rooms are basic and very dated. The superior rooms are modern, well-appointed, and beds very comfortable and very supportive. Also the high floor rooms to the south have a great view! I slept so well here. Very happy with my stay. Only one problem - breakfast ends at 10 and by 9:40am nothing hot was left at the buffet. It was a Sunday morning so as a weekend buffet more food should have been made available because not everyone wants to eat at 7 or 8am.

Excellent breakfast; balcony at 1 bed room A quieter ventilation in the bathrooms would be nice. Designated rooms for guests with pets would be a plus

This is a clean and cozy hotel in the heart of Brno. The staff are lovely and accommodating. I stayed on the 9th floor with a view of the Brno castle.

Cozy hotel with walking distance to Brno city centre and the MUNI university. Well-chosen variety for breakfast.

I had a good experience at the Hotel Continental. I stayed here for 4 nights to attend a conference at Masaryk University, which is really close to the hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal to visit Brno’s landmarks on foot. The hotel definitely has a sixties vibe, but the rooms are clean are renovated. I stayed on the 12th floor and enjoyed a lovely panoramic view of the city. Although the room amenities are basic, they are sufficient. I appreciated the ample wardrobe, coffee maker, kettle, and minibar in the room. The hair dryer was not working, but it was not a big deal for me. They also provided robes and slippers, which I appreciated. The staff at the front desk were always polite, helpful, and responsive and spoke English. I appreciate the private sauna rooms, which are available at a moderate cost. I do not think this is an expensive hotel at all, so it’s great value. Is it worthy of 5 stars? Probably not, if compared to other upscale hotels like the Barcelo. However, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for solo travelers, and would probably stay here again when I’m back in Brno.

Nice environment, very good location, excellent breakfast. The walls are like they were made of paper, every noise of the neighbour can be heard.

Nice location, nice service. Cons - correct (for 4 stars) breakfast. Individual air conditioning turned off at night - if you haven't opened the window, you get up wet. At least one Polish program is missing - but three programs with Putin's propoaganda. No comment.

Average breakfast, small room, expensive sauna. Good point is balcony are high floor

short business trip to Brno

A very pleasant stay in Brno. The hotel is a very short walk to the old town and a 15 minute walk to the main train station. Very professional service. Room looked to be newly renovated (in a very orange motif), clean with a comfy bed. Excellent wifi and a decent breakfast. I would definitely stay there again when I am next in Brno.

The service was excellent. Easy parking facilities. It wasn't really that clean. Under the bed their was, hair bands, a ping pong ball, plastic caps and more... Balcony was full of bird droppings.
