Had to change rooms several times because the other rooms had no hot water and the the TV was not working in one room. My husband had to fix it because no one ever came to fix it. I paid for my room through the app and the lady at the front desk called me 3 times telling me I owed more money or else.... The app customer service helped me and told me no I was all paid for my night. On top of all that the only thing clean in room was the bed sheets!

1st room stinks. 2nd room was a lil better TV remote didn’t work front desk was gonna send someone never did. Electric sockets some didn’t work. No toilet paper in room toilet was bathroom was dirty. Toilet no secured to floor. Shower curtain was dirty.
Breakfast was limited because truck didn’t come. Staff was very nice and friendly on arrival and at checkout.

I didn’t stay at this location due to poor room conditions, the room had a very bad smell when entering. Stained sheets and door locks did not work properly. I was total descusted, and refused to stay there. I am requesting a full refund for the cost of this hotel and the inconvenience for time and money spent to find a replacement stay. The start checkin took 3 different rooms room not available due to construction. Tv not working. Towels not in rooms. Very dirty bed linen and towels. Floors not mopped. Filthy place.

My sheets weren’t as clean it had a lot of markings on the covers the tv wasn’t working properly and when I asked for another room or and upgrade because of the dissatisfaction it was an attitude I checked out early because it was just not to my liking

The hotel covers had stains in them. The towels we received in the room were covered in red stains. It was a spot on the shower curtain that i’m assuming was blood but, other than that the experience was okay.

I've never checked into a property under a corporate brand that was so dirty. Floors hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Towels were clean but stained. We had a room away from the street but it was quite noisy because guests came and went all night.

This is a motel, not a hotel. Full stop. The room we got was dirty, & smelled of smoke & chemicals (pesticide?). We had to dispose of 2 dying cockroaches, rinse dirt out the sink (did someone clean their boots in the sink?) & request toilet paper & a second hand towel. The walls & hair dryer were dirty & some towels were stained. This room should never have been rented out. The price charged was ridiculous? We expect a full refund. We couldn't change rooms ("we're full") & due to events in the area, couldn't book a room elsewhere. The staff that we interacted with were pleasant & respectful, but we haven't been able to reach management yet...

Nothing was okay, very dirty and run down, keys didn’t work had to go down to the office twice. Loud neighbors. I booked two kings and they didn’t have anything but double but charged me the same price. Remote was missing I. One of the rooms. Bathroom light was broke in the other.

I booked the room and was late checking in because of car trouble. When I finally made it to the hotel there was no staff there to check me in. I rang and rang the night window bell to no avail. I had to sleep in my car.But I was still charged for a nights stay

Check in was a difficult process, with the hotel having an entire lobby for guests to check in although it restricted guest access to the lobby on almost a constant basis. My room was absolutely filthy and it was obvious housekeeping had not even swept or did any sort of cleaning on the floors. I booked a non-smoking room, but the first thing I noticed as soon as I set foot inside was the overpowering scent of burning tobacco and other things. It was to the point that there were even burn holes in the bed sheets from smoking and burn marks on the bathtub also from smoking in the room. The room itself even had mold growing on the walls and was so humid that all the lamps were beginning to rust. To make matters worse, I soon discovered that previous guests had been using the night stand drawers as ash trays while smoking and there even appeared to be leftover marijuana stems sitting on top the night stand. Combine all these details with the fact that literally the door frame itself of the hotel room was broken from what appeared to be someone attempting to kick the door down, made for quite an unpleasant stay during the short time I spent there. To make matters even worse, it was impossible to even distract myself from these atrocities with a bit of television, since the hotel for some reason felt the need to have DirecTV receivers that were not even activated or in service for use. Overall, the nearly $90 price tag that I paid for my room per night was in the least a robbery.

This property smelled of marijuana, loud music being played and this is before going into the dirty room with a busted door frame. Cockroach, the shower hasn’t been cleaned in a while something on the walls. I did my best in trying to clean up the bathroom to make it usable but it really wasn’t my job too. Oh and let me not forget the smoke alarm hanging off the wall and beeping.

I am sure the Tornado recovery has made things more difficult but the room was dirty, bedding dirty, chipping paint, mold in the bathroom, partially painted and sloppily painted. Painted over bad areas on the wall, Broken Mirror. Could be much nicer with attention to details and some investment.

The room was not ready. When we went to the room, we found that there was no hot water and the tap for the shower was not operative. The staff person said she would find another room. We waited for over an hour. When we went to the new room, we saw that it was missing a light bulb. There were children above us, and it was noisy until 10 p.m.
The staff person from the reception brought us a bulb. She tried to be accommodating but seemed somewhat unfamiliar with the procedure.

Floor turned your feet black. Elastic gone on bed sheets so they did not stay on the bed. `internet did not work- front desk said not anythshe could do about it. No remotefor tv. Given one that would not stay together when asked front desk. Told our two rooms were next to each other. 215 on one side of building while 220 on other side which meant going down and then up another flight of stairs to exchange anything. Water drppein bathtub all nightand toilets were not working well.

Room was filthy. I would have left except everything in the area was sold out. I had to ask for cleanser and rags to clean the room. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere. There was filth so thick I didn’t even try to clean it. The shower rod was barely hanging on. I asked for a trash can which I never got. The tv remote didn’t work. I had to change channels on the actual box. I didn’t want breakfast but in case you do, it’s just cold cereal. I will not visit Selma again unless I can get a room at the St. James hotel.

After checking in, we were unloading our bags into the hotel room. During this process we noticed that there were no towels in the bathroom. We checked with the lady at the desk and were told that there were no towels available and that towels would not be available until 11:00 the next morning. This was unacceptable so we contacted Expedia to help get our money refunded. Two months later, we are still trying to get Baymont to refund our money.
