I’ve stayed at the Maron several times while in the area. It’s convenient, affordable, clean and comfortable. This time the bed was a little uncomfortable and the shower heads should be updated (very high & not adjustable). Overall, a decent hotel at a good price.

Always a pleasure staying here, employees are always friendly. Parking garage which most hotels don’t have in this location. Nice comfortable room. Great location

It was fine for sleeping for the night and the room was nice for the price but a few things if I had been staying longer: the lighting was poor. There were no towel bars in the bathroom. The tv in the living room didn’t work. The pillows were lumpy. The breakfast was disappointing. Plain bagels, red delicious apples and oranges was all. Small things but the place could be really nice if they fixed them.

It is a very nice property in good condition - spacious rooms, quiet, nice room amenities and quiet.
However, the breakfast was just grab and go - not a real breakfast and the room's heater didn't work, making it about 64-65F at night. I know, I could have asked for a different room, but I discovered this around midnight when laying in bed already, all things unpacked, etc - too much trouble to change.
The hotel staff was nice and called me back and offered a small refund, which means they actually care.
It could have been a 4 star stay, as long as you check AC/heat as soon as you walk in in your room. I can still recommend it.

Major issue was no hot water for the shower on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. when needed it most. Most everything was fine. Room furniture felt a bit dated, but was clean and staff was very good. Disappointing continental breakfast, not much to it.

We stayed one night in the family room with a king-size and folding bed.
The king-size bed was a little too hard for our taste.
The folding bed was awful. You could feel the springs and it was uneven. Not suitable for anything other than small children.
The wifi was in our room very slow and we could not use it.
The hotel has a nice lobby, the staff is very friendly and there was a basic breakfast with bagels, rolls, tea, coffee and some fruit served in the lobby.
Expect a basic experience and do not stay with older children in the family room.

The only negative I had was the hot water was more like luke warm water. I like a hot shower in the morning. This did not meet my desire

1) Fitness room is a joke, equipment is unsafe and not really usable. 2)Front desk often not manned and phone number on desk plaque did not work, waited 10 minutes or more to get a key reprogrammed. 3)No hot water one of the 3 mornings , could not shower. 4) Breakfast is nothing more than coffee, doughnuts and fruit. 5) Flush valve on toilet was broken and sounded like a jet engine when filling, problem at night with sleeping wife. 6) Desk lamp rocked on table, insulated bottom pad was gone, pretty sure a fire or electrical code violation.

The hotel was clean, which is about the best I can say.
One of the reasons that we booked here was because there was supposed to be a bar/restaurant attached. It was closed. I don’t know if that is permanently or temporarily.
When we tried to get ice from the machine on our floor, the plugs were pulled out. It looked like the machine had been leaking but not fixed as there was water on the floor.
The TV was pretty blurry and there was a general lack of light. All light came from old lamps and one didn’t turn on at all.

I love Marron! It’s a very nice hotel and I will be staying there for a fourth time in the coming months, I promise! My only complaint is, please install a bigger HOT WATER heater PLEASE!!!

If you need a place to sleep for the night, it will probably do the trick and the price was good. It is very outdated. There is a grocery store within walking distance in some restaurants nearby as well

Amazingly clean and pleasant. Just across the street from a university so you can stretch your legs there for exercise. Excellent pizza place across the street from the hotel.

We ended up staying in a suite and it was roomy. The bed was comfortable too!

It was after the July 4th weekend and it was not very busy. The room was clean and the pillows and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was more than I would normally pay. But, I don't understand the hotel pricing structure in this area of CT. Now, there were a couple of things that annoyed me. One, no breakfast even though their site indicated there was. They did have a table in the lobby with fruit, bagels and some sort of sweet roll. However, coffee pot was empty and there no utensils to spread cream cheese or butter. Two, no guide of TV channels.

Elevator wasn’t working, had to go to the service elevator. In spite of it appearing there was not one other room occupied, I was put on third floor.

The only nice thing is it is relatively clean. Everything else is dated, old and worn.
Even the elevator was broken. I had to search for the freight elevator to get to my floor.

We were given a room in which the air conditioner didn’t work. The phone didn't work either. When we went down to the front desk to tell them about the air not working, they said they already knew! They let us switch rooms, but why would they give us that room when they knew the air didn’t work?
