Front desk lady was VERY unfriendly. Like she was bothered because I came in. Didn't want to answer any questions. bad experience

On our first night, we noticed a couple ants in the shower and (knowing better) hoped they'd go away. The next morning, the population started growing and so we went down to the desk to request a different room.
The guy at the front desk said he might be able to get us a different room but needed to wait until housekeeping arrived at 9:15am. He said the room should be ready by 10:00 and I asked him to call me. At 10:45 I went down to ask for an update and he said "Oh, yeah, it's ready". I asked why he didn't call and he mumbled that he was about to call.
NOT ONCE did he offer any apologies for the inconvenience or assistance to help relocate to new room.
DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK and highly recommend some Customer Service training for the staff - especially the guy working Thanksgiving morning.

clean, friendly staff, conveniently located in downtown Napa with plenty of parking and large strip mall next door and across street with Target, supermarket and everything else you'd need. It's on a major road, but not noisy. nicely surprised at large hot buffet breakfast included.

My wife and I went to Napa to see a Jazz concert and of course drink wine. We rarely spend time in the hotel so we rarely spend too much on one. The Hawthorne was a great place for those who want a safe place to rest. Parking on site the layout is kind of like a Motel, but I stay here everytime we go to Napa because it is a lot cheaper than other places.

I couldn't really open the drapes of the window because it faced onto the walkway and parking lot, so it was dark in the room. I found some ants in my bed the first night, but luckily no more after that. The hose in the toilet tank was unclipped, which made the toilet water run. It took me a couple of tries to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it. Otherwise, the room was clean and the staff at the front desk were nice. The breakfasts were fine. Thank you.

Couldn’t figure out how to permanently turn off the bathroom lights! They were motion sensor and would come on brightly when going to the restroom durning the night!! Hated this!!

This property is a great value. It’s near downtown Napa. It’s close to major roads which make it easy to get around. It was a little warm when I went and the AC didn’t cool the room enough but it was tolerable.
