Love the complimentary breakfast, it is of very great quality!

Good hotel, location was perfekt, right by busses and train. Only 5.min walk to main stopping street.. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant staff very sweet. Even help us with a cooler for whitewine for us to take to the room. Only downside the people at front desk was missing knowledge about the city

1. The breakfasts were wonderful & staff were nice 2. No complaints except perhaps that there should be some descaling of the walls in the bathroom & toilet bowl

Terrible smell in bathroom and had to change rooms. By end of our stay there was beginning to be a smell in the second bathroom and lid of toilet had to remain closed - a problem with the sewers probably. Cleanliness was poor and there was a noise issue at night - inadequate sound proofing. Breakfast was adequate but with the other issues we were not tempted to eat in the restaurant. Location was good but would not stay here again. Advertised as a 4 star hotel but only worth 3 at the most.

Stayed for a night. Staff at the front desk were friendly and warm. Service was efficient. Restaurant closed for dinner but open for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was generous. There’s a lift once you’re inside the foyer. Worst thing about this hotel was the small ensuite and awful toilet paper, but it has been as bad or worse nearly everywhere in Scandinavia.

Rating this a 4 out of 5 simply because some of the electrical outlets were very loose and sloppy. The rest was great.

We had a good stay at this hotel. Breakfast could have been better but it was okay. Hotel location is really nice and surrounded by farms. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Smallest bathroom in the world. Water ran either boiling hot or cold. The bathroom floor was uneven and i tripped and cut my toe open, that was fun. The toilet was pressed up to the shower, JUST RIDICULOUSLY SMALL. This was not a cheap hotel, it cost well over $200 CND to stay here. Room was small and cramped, no fridge and the staff seemed totally indifferent to its patrons. I dont recommend this place at all, its in a good location, but there are a lot of other hotels in the area, choose one of those.

It is a very noisy hotel as the main road runs right next to it and there is very heavy traffic.

Everything about the stay was excellent, but the staff were by far the highlight of the time there. Great service! Well done!

Scandic The Mayor is one of those hotels that looks like a local institution. Its location is literally between the railway station and the town hall, in the heart of the city (most transport lines connect in front of it). It has a stately shape and the rooms did not disappoint: my wife and I got a superb corner room facing the town hall fountain, iconic tower and park, and the street. The room was wide, with enough space (apart from a wide double bed) for a padded reading corner, table with TV and working space, and a tea table with two stylish leather armchairs. Plus storage space. A large, practical bathroom complemented the room. Simple, Scandi furnishings, with dignified lines and sturdy materials. Free tea and coffee in the room. No minibar / fridge though (perhaps the only minus). Breakfast was a good spread including muesli/granola, sandwich ingredients, eggs, pastries and fruit, plus tea/ coffee/ juices (including self-press for oranges). The breakfast restaurant is a Michelin-starred establishment in the evening. They also have a paid-for mini-shop with toiletries and snacks. Perhaps toiletries not stuck to the wall would have added to the atmosphere, although I appreciated the quality and brand (FACE). Overall, we had an absolutely great stay, in a large dignified, well-designed room, and with good breakfast during a busy business trip. If I have the chance, I will surely return!

The room was in a good condition but much to small. No place for the suitcase in the room, the bath is not really usable, the shower is maybe 80x70 with a shower curtain. The bathroom sink has the size of my hand... For the money I payed not a good choice

OK Scandic Hotel. The hotel would need some sort of renovation, it feels a bit old. The rooms had a very basic standard. The location is great! Parking fees just outside the hotel are reasonable. The staff didn't wear face masks during the first day. They were a couple of young employees chatting behind the bar and didn't pay much attention to the breakfast guests. On the second day they were wearing masks. Friendly staff at checkout.
