The view was awesome, the staff was friendly and accommodating, it had a pool and jacuzzi that was very well kept, and the beach and dining was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Scalea.

The hotel is located next to the beach. Guests have access to a private beach which is nice. The hotel is quite outdated but it is clean. Service was not the best. Missing information at check in, no one in the pool to order drinks, lack of enthusiam. Breakfast was not that good. You need to preorder what you want for breakfast the day before. It was a little bit messy. The bread was dry, eggs not cooked enough. It was a passable stay for one night.

The setting, proximity to the beach, and views are fabulous and the breakfast was good. The beds are a little low, the shower small, and parking was difficult but manageable.

Air conditioning has a strong smell of sulphur, so can't use during the night. Small ants all over so don't leave food lying around. Beds are really soft so you might wake up with a bad back. Parking space is quite limited but we were able to manage without damaging anything. There is a minifridge in the room but you are not allowed to use it to store your own food or drinks in it. Bathroom is really tight but this was not an issue. But, of all this, the worst is that much of the staff (not all mind you) is uncaring. Uncaring about the state of the hotel, uncaring about the clients. The beach was nice with long chairs and ombrello inclusive. Good restaurants nearby. Breakfast is continental and very complete. Pool was very clean.

Property was great and location was great. We had a mix up with reservation dates. But the hotel itself was great.

Wonderful hotel on the Calabrian Coast. Well maintained, pool, lido, friendly and professional service, lovely breakfast. We will return.

The lifeguard at the Lido was more concerned with his girlfriend than anything else. The Lido itself offered nothing for kids - there were much better offerings a couple of doors down.The service at breakfast was terrible - no greeting or offer of coffee. Our shower drain blocked up and although we notified reception, they didn't notify anyone, which made for 2 days of incredibly short (max 2 minute) showers! Easy access to beach, restaurants and city center. Very polite and caring staff. Beautiful pool area!

The location is great, the hotel mostly looks like B&B, breakfast is Italian standards, just lunch served. There is not TV in the large lounge area and don't have music too. Parking is great. Balcony is also nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Rose Hotel. We were driving up the coast from Sicily to Rome. This was a great place to stop. The setting was beautiful.

Very helpful staff, air conditioning not so good. Fantastic view!

Despite of the old furniture in the rooms and the old condition of the bathroom, the territory of the hotel and surrounding surprised us plesantly. Breakfast could have more vegies and other raw/vegan option, plus points for soya, rice and oat milk though.

The room we get, was dark, any view, every time the air conditioning went on the noise was very annoying, everything else was good. This room was on the lower level.

Comfortable room with great view of beach and ocean from the ocean view room.Beach was only 20 meters from hotel with free use of Hotels own Lido on the beach. Also only short walk to town centre. On site parking was adequate and no extra charge.
