The hotel is lovely, spotless, comfy, great beds and best of all has opening windows for actual fresh air!! The car park is payable and there also a city tax on arrival. We even rented a couple of brollies from the machine in reception! It is a short walk to the U-bahn into town and there are a couple of very nice Italian restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is adequate (it is a budget hotel after all!) and we would happily stay here again.

A very nice place to stay in a new part of Aplerbeck. We loved the perfect breakfast buffet. Every detail was considered! Amazing.
I love the electric water kettle & porcelain mugs for tea or coffee making in the rooms! Wonderful, better than a coffee maker, which leaves us tea drinkers with a terrible taste.
The only thing I miss in German hotels in general are washcloths.
We have stayed in various Holiday Inn Express hotels, would choose them anytime again. Thank you to a very friendly and helpful staff. Three beautiful restaurants are very close as are an Edeka supermarket and Netto store.

Great place to stay, very quiet, easy access to Dortmund centre via the Stadt Bahn, very friendly and helpful staff. Great knowledge of English. Wonderful continental style buffet breakfast included in the price.
Duvets and shower towels could do with being bigger. But not an issue

Hotel located between Dormund city centre and the airport was nice, and close to the U-bahn (metro). Breakfast included was ok. The price was pretty good value for money. Recommended.

New building with clean, comfortable rooms. Very close to public transport. However it’s located in a business park, which means that one is obliged to take the transport or drive just to eat something.

Hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are helpful. There was a mix up with the booking but they sorted it out there and then.

The only issue I had is that I should have been told in advance that the parking costs €10. There was no info about it.

Nice clean hotel, good bathroom, great breakfast. Let down by stifling hot room and an ineffectual room fan. Might be good for a winter visit. Desperately needs air conditioning for the summer.

Holiday Inn Dortmund is a good hotel for business. Easy to get to, comfortable, good breakfast. Theres a decent italian restaurant Vetro right behind the hotel.

We booked room a month before and paid for double room with sofa bed for our daughter only to find out at arrival that there are no rooms with sofa bed available. Guy at reception told us they can’t do anything about it apart of giving us cot bed. Information on booking site was clear - no cot beds for infants therefore you have to book room with sofa bed for extra price. Extra price for sofa bed to get cot bed in double room. Plus we booked room and paid extra for parking. Again guy at reception told that if we would like to use parking there is extra fee for it. After few minutes of discussion and showing him our booking confirmation he let us use parking for free. And it sounded like he was doing us favour. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Would not recommend especially if you travel with small baby and would like to things go smoothly.
