The staff was ok. The tv in the room did not work and the heat system was making alot of noise the entire night. Cleaning staff kept knocking on the door before check out time. It was just not a great stay and ive stay here multiple time.

Everything was excellent from check in till check out. Front desk were very nice and when we asked for something that was missing in our room, they gave it to us right away. Location was excellent and close to every place that we needed to go.

1 night stay and fire alarm went off at 1am and lasted over an hour and had to dress and leave room only to be told a false alarm and could not be turned off until fire dept arrived - then happened again at 5.30am!!

The room was clean. Comfortable bed, sofa, chair etc. Good quality furniture with attention to detail. Clean bathroom with no water clog anywhere. Nice lamps with switches in convenient place to turn on/off. Easy to use thermostat to control room temp. Friendly staff. Overall very satisfied.
Saw a racoon near the trash at night. Not sure if that is a problem in Toronto area. Perhaps something could be done to prevent it.

Hallway smelled like smoke. At 12:40am I was woken by the strong burning odour of a skunk in my room. I was on fourth floor and couldn’t understand how that smell was getting up into my room. I was awake until 2:30am because of it. What was meant as a closer stay for business to avoid getting up extremely early to get there turned into less sleep than if I was my 1.5hr drive away.

I always enjoy my stay at this hotel, and it’s my go-to choice whenever I visit Toronto. The hotel and rooms are consistently clean. However, I recommend paying a bit more attention to some areas of the bathroom, particularly around the hole in the vanity sink, where mildew and gunk can accumulate. I usually bring some backup bleach just in case.

Great except we all woke up at 6am by TV sounds from our next door. It was really loud we could hear everything as if we were sharing the room. Not sure if it is because the person turned it on too high or it is a problem with a sound proofing.

Booked a king room with sofa bed but the description on Expedia was wrong. Room booked did not have the accessible features listed and we were given an accessible king room but it didn’t have a sofa bed. We were given a rollaway bed that took up all the floor space and made it difficult to walk around.

We have stayed at other hotels near Richmond Hill/Markham many times and this is our first time at the courtyard by Marriott. It is clean, quiet and the feel is welcoming. I think my future stays will be to the is location. Parking is very convenient and well maintained. Check in was simple. The pre-check prior to arrival actually works unlike the others. Front desk was thorough which was nice.
