They were ants in our studio.

Was not aware that our room was not part of the main building, but was a 5-10 minute walk away. No amenities where we were. Beach was a 20 minute walk away. Restaurant, gym and pool were in main building. We were not told you needed both keys to get towels at the pool. The pool attendant was a bit rude and told us we should know better, despite us never being told at checkin. The good thing was the breakfast. It was really good.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was comfortable but not 4 star. It needs attention paid to many repairs like broken tiles, shower attachment not working, knobs of fixtures and fittings lose, broke or missing. The breakfast is decent and evening meal fair. The staff didn’t give us information about the cards they gave for towels - where to get them, are drinks included in evening meal. The mark up onsite ice-cream or soft drinks is triple that of the little corner store by the beach/roundabout so we chose to use this. Cleaners were really friendly but the pool cafe staff not so friendly. We generally enjoyed our stay but over priced and over rated. I rate it 3 star and wouldn't price it at more than £180 per studio room per night if room only.

Good experience overall. The breakfast and swimming pool were great. However, we got the older rooms in the remote side of the property - which were a bit dated. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable at all and the distance to the main part of the hotel was a bit inconvenient (the golf cart shuttle service was often not responsive). The cost of food and drinks at the pool bar were outrageous.

We spent six days at this hotel in Portemao, excellent location right by the beach a few steps from our room. Property is big and sits on a marina so views are really nice.
Rooms where big and spacious and clean, would recommend of you're going to the Algarve it would be a good choice.

Although spacious the room feels a little tired
Shower over bath is adequate
The pool is missing a fair few tiles and daily there were plastic cups from the day before scattered around
Price of drinks at pool bar very high (not often mini bar drinks are cheaper!)

Views of the marina from our room and rooftop deck were amazing ! The unit was well equipped and comfortable. The beds were comfortable except the couch which my daughter slept on was quite hard.
The buffet breakfast was amazing and the views from the restaurant also amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.

Excellent hotel in fabulous position. Set just at the end of a beautiful beach filled with lots of great beach bars and restaurants.
If you were looking for more nightlife you walk up the steps and not only are you afforded wonderful views you have more bars and restaurants.
Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
Will definitely stay again.

I planned a birthday trip for my husband and we had a fantastic time. The customer service was excellent and there were a lot of different activities to do. The views are stunning and we will definitely try the other branches in other countries.

This was our sixth visit to the Marina hotel and it was noticeable that there had been an upgrade in the condition of the hotel since our last visit. It had begun to be a little 'tired', but we were impressed by the improvements.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. We reserved with half board, so we had dinner, wich was very convenient because you don't have anything in a short distance.

The hotel is beautiful and rooms are spacious and well equipped with kitchenette.
Con: our room (021) was at the far part of the property, so when was pleasent was a nice walkable 15 minutes distance around the Marina; when it was not, they have golf carts to take you to your room.

A beautiful property with stunning views of the a castle and towns on cliffs. Their dining area overlooks this view and it's amazing. Buffet breakfast had a good selection. Praia da Rocha is very close and a pleasant walk from the resort. Their big pool is a saltwater pool and we really appreciated to be allowed in our room earlier.

Enjoyed the NH Marina Portimão. Friendly staff. The room was spacious, a bit older, but very clean. We were in the Marina side. There is also Deck & Sun side.
The brunch was really delicious and lots of options.

Great location and breakfast. Excellent check in. Convenient parking and nice deck facing marina. Only issue was thin walls/ loud guest. No lights in kitchenette area or frying pan (we did not cook so not an issue for us). Will stay here again if we return to the Algarve area.

Truly a sensational location and experience. Close to the water and right on the marina. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Beaches are close and are clean and outstanding. Breakfast was fantastic and was a great way to start each morning. Close to other cities for site seeing and touring. This location made our first trip to the Algarves and Portugal one to remember! I can understand why this would be good for budget travelers but I wasn’t particularly comfortable.
The pool and buffet breakfast were lovely.
The room and bedding were average.

The location is amazing! Close to the beach and the Marina! The front desk staff were very kind and enablers! The Villa was super clean and spacious. Breakfast at the Marina was perfect!!! We love everything!! I hope we can return soon!

From the moment we walked in to reception we were treated so well. Special mention to Pedro who took care of our needs and went above and beyond to be sure we had a great stay.
Love the atmosphere at this hotel. Very relaxing place to stay. The location is perfect as you are at a beautiful marina and are right next to the beach.
I would stay here again as this hotel has a resort like feel. The breakfast is also really good.

This was a very good place to stay in Portimão, Portugal. The view of the marina and the quiet were delightful. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance (very close). We were accepted into our room 4 hours early. The room was a little dated, but extremely clean with a kitchenette. The price was very good. Thank you
