I love staying in Ocean Shores especially when theres a storm. I love hearing the sound of the waves and the wind. My buddies and I planned a trip for us and my son and my nephew. My nephew unfortunately wasn't able to attend due to being sick. We had never stayed at The Grey Gull until now. I am very pleased with our stay. I love the condo style unit and the decor. Our unit was on the ground floor with easy access to the parking lot made it easy to unload and load up every thing. I loved that there was enough space and sleeping arrangements for everyone in our party. I was alos impressed with all the amenities of the kitchen. I was able to cook our Dinner and in the morning cook breakfast. Also the dishwasher was very handy. The office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We are planning on staying again in the future.

Very quiet, relaxing hotel with a great staff.
One suggestion: more toiletries in the room at check in. If a stay is booked for a defined number of nights please have adequate shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each night.

Property is a little dated, but well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Front desk people efficient and friendly.
It was a little too cool and breezy for us to enjoy the pool and hot tub, but we enjoyed walking the roughly quarter-mile trail from behind the hotel down to the beach, and then a walk along the beach.
Restaurants, bars, and stores nearby.
The room has a comfortable living room and fully equipped kitchenette, so would be very nice for a stay of a week or more.

Very easy to work with customer service when we screwed up our reservation. They were very accomodating. Mostly very quiet. Nice location. Everything seemed well upkept. We will return.

It was a fantastic stay. We went there for my 60th Birthday. Could not have asked for a better view, comfortable bed and gorgeous weather. 75 degrees every day and no wind. Not what you normally get at the Ocean. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this place though its age does show. We love the location and close proximity to the beach and the main part of town. Love that there is a pool&hottub nice friendly lobby&staff. The bed mattress was sublime& we almost slept better than at home! Love the kitchenette, so for a longer stay, you are fully equipped with fridge/stove/dishes/utensils etc. Even a cake pan (for those prolific bakers!) Nice lil patio with chairs for sitting out. We also loved the recliner chairs in our unit. There is a dining table that is sufficient for 4. The faucets in the bathtub&kitchen need replacing. There is some peeling paint in the bathroom at the floor area that would be an easy fix to spruce up for those customers with a discerning eye. Tub could be cleaned or re-caulked in places to make the brown spots go away&look sparkling white&clean. The couch needs to be replaced in our unit. The carpet was wonderful; obviously recently cleaned and/or replaced and we know this place is pet-friendly; though we were not traveling with pets, we enjoyed watching others' & we think that's great. The nautical&beachy decor is also GREAT! See you again soon!

Unit was aptly and nicely decorated for Ocean experience. Very clean. Enjoyable views altho didnt expect beach to be that far away via trail thru dense sand dune bushes & grasses. Beach is beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a 3rd story room with beautiful views, my mom even seen a whale early one morning. The elevator is a huge bonus for people with mobility issues. The condo was perfect. Clean and just the right amount of decorations.

Older hotel but well kept. Friendly service. Our room was clean and satisfactory upon arrival. No A/C. The room got warm but keeping the deck door open brought in the cool ocean air.

Was a great place to stay. The walk to the beach is very difficult and confusing. Wish it was better marked with posts or flags or something. I know you can mess with the dunes too much but there are some posts out there.

Central location was great, room was comfortable, and the grounds were well maintained. The only downside is reserving a room with an ocean view...and needing binoculars to see the water. Loved the deer and squawking seagulls.

Unit was nicely appointed and comfortable. Walls are a bit thin but understandable with an older property. My one complaint is the staff member wearing a divisive political shirt when we checked in. While he wasn’t the one who was helping us, he was still representing the property from behind the desk.

we have stayed here several times, this time it was a little off, not as clean as normal, old coffee pod left in machine, hair in the tub/ shower floor was a sticky, some mold growing in grout on shower tile...just felt off..
