The condo was very nice and had everything you needed for our stay. The was only a full size and needs to be least a queen size. The road on the lanai was very noisy.

This was a great place with up to date amenities and across the street from a great beach. The one bedroom, two bath condo was fully furnished and had everything you would need for a day at the beach. We stayed for a week and had all the comforts of home with a balcony and a beautiful view. I would definitely stay here again.

Be careful and double check your email. Maui and condo never emailed me the door code and I had to call for it.

The property was really quite and the unit waa very cozy however, the beds need to be replaced (the make a lot of noise and are very uncomfortable) and not everything was clean. (Toilets especidically).

We stayed with the 14-month-old baby and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - laundry in the apartment, second bath, all linen/towels, etc. Perfect place for a family stay!

Much better deal than Lahaina. Unless you want a resort atmosphere with high rise clusters of hotels and close golf courses. The restaurants around Kihei are soso, but bring your Costco Card and get a better price for food and gas (more than 60c less per Gallon) and use the amenities of Kamaole Sands. Fully equipped kitchen, several public grill stations, pool, gated community, etc. The beachis just across the street, and not as crowded as in the resorts. Great budget location with a private building structure. Guenter

This place met all of our needs. Unit 2-205Pros: great location, clean, pretty condo complex. Assigned parking was a good idea. Even though it said Garden View, we had a partial ocean view from the lanai which was a nice surprise. Well-equipped kitchen if you want to cook (we didnt.) Ice maker in the freezer was good. Lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, etc. The bed was comfortable. It had a washer/dryer (but we didnt even know about it until the housekeeper asked us to wash the towels before we left!) Beach right across the street and nice sandy beaches with good snorkeling within a few minutes drive.Cons: Bad A/C... there is only a wall unit air-conditioner in the living room behind the tv cabinet which does not cool any other rooms. The bedroom is in the very back of the unit so it was very hot at night. There was a ceiling fan and a very noisy plug in fan which both had to be on all night to keep the room from sweltering. On one humid day it was hard to sleep. If you need a/c, make sure you get a unit that has central air. Also, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor so we just kept a bathmat along the edge. Bath amenities were so-so.All in all, this is a good enough condo for a short stay. I would look for another unit with better amenities and better a/c next time. But Kamaole Sands is definitely a good spot to spend a few days in Maui.

We enjoyed the pool, nicely manicured grounds, and gym. The staff were welcoming and it was an overall great experience. Unlike the pictures on this site, the suite we stayed in was old and a bit run down. We made a special request for a ground floor weeks in advance, as our toddler would have loved to be able to run around outside. Although the staff said they would try to accomodate our request, we were given a room on the 3rd floor. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could have wished for and it was really convenient to have a laundry machine in our suite. Great experience overall.

Spacious condo with 2 full baths, full size kitchen, w/d and large lanai. Great view of the pool and lush gardens. Great location. Across from the beach and a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

Beautiful room, beautiful grounds. The only very minor complaint would be the air conditioning limited to the living area and did not reach the bedrooms. This would not be enough to keep me from booking there again though. Kihei is just a fabulous place for a vacation. We split time between Kihei and Kaanapali. The next time we come to Maui it will be Kihei only and at Kamaole Sands.

TV, bedroom lights, master shower, air conditioner NONE worked

Location was okay....our unit was on first floor, the only window in bedroom faced right out to where people and workers walk by, since there was no air conditioner in bedroom, it needed to stay open most of the time. Paid extra for "garden view", not worth it, our little patio faced to pool, was okay, it had a grocery bag with a couple of pieces of trash in it, one was a used diaper. My kid thought the pool water felt as thick as jello. Would only stay there again if it was on upper floor, and had 2 bedrooms, my kid had to sleep on sofa couch that was really thin, stained mattress, and had to sleep on 2 bars holding it up.... It had a small washer/dryer and that was useful, and it did have 2 small, old, full bathrooms. There was a couple of coolers in the closet that came in handy and some folding chairs we never used. The large park across the street from the condo was nice and went right down to the decent, no wave beach. I had discovered a trail that went south from the park above the water had a lot of turtles to see.

The area is great you can walk everywhere. The grounds to the Sands is awesome and well kept and there seems to be a lot of units that have been updated and we wish our unit was one of them. Keep in mind there is no air conditioning in the unit bedrooms and Maui in June gets to about 90f everyday. We would stay at the Sands again but would make sure we did not have the unit we had this time unless it had been updated.

Right in the heart of Kihei and walking distance from one of the best family beaches, this hotel is one we will be coming back to again! We stayed here with 4 teens, had plenty of space in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. Air conditioning and washer/dryer in the unit were convenient touches. We loved being able to get up early to hit the water first thing before starting our adventures.

We had a wonderful stay at Kamaole Sands. Nice unit, beautiful grounds, nice pool, planning another visit.

This was for my parents and their friends couple. When they first checked in, there was a wet old towel on the couch and the place didnt seem to have been cleaned properly. Otherwise, they were pretty satisfied with the facilities and location and stuff.

Very good location. Close to Kihei III beach. We enjoy BBQ , tennis courts and pool. Floor was sticky we have to map it.
