We were very happy with our stay. Staff sent a text letting us know when our room would be ready and asked us our approximate arrival time. No one was there when we arrived, so I sent a text, and Marshall said he would be back in 5 minutes. Any questions we had were answered promptly in person or via text. We were able to fill out a form and hang it on our door before bed indicating which items we would like for breakfast in the morning. There were quite a few items to choose from. It was a short walk down to the harbor, shopping, and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the narrow curving staircase to the second floor where our room was located (we are older and our knees are painful, but we managed).

The service here was stellar-both Jim and Mitchell were very welcoming and friendly. The place is cute and perfectly located close to town. The common areas were nicely appointed, and we enjoyed listening to a few records with friends.
The bed in Dog Watch was horrible. The first challenge is the floor is slanted, causing one’s head to be inverted (perhaps adding risers to the headboard would help?). The second issue is the bed is way too soft…one folds into it. We tried flipping it to see if it helped, but it didn’t and so we ultimately slept with our heads at the foot to try and help. Very little sleep. I also hit my shin/ankle on the corner of the bed multiple times as the frame is a tad big on the edges and difficult to get around.
Our friends had a room in the front and didn’t have the same challenges with their bed, so while I’d certainly return, I’d avoid Dog Watch. We liked the two story option though and having the kitchenette.

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The facilities were immaculate. Room perfect in comfort and detail. Very short walk to shops and restaurants. Lovely owners and welcoming reception!

Cannot say enough good things about my stay here. Marshall was extremely professional, polite, and courteous. Our room was clean, cozy and just perfect for us, we didn’t want to leave. Location was perfect. It was just a short walk down to the main town area. We loved the breakfast options, tasty and simple. A perfect way to stay our day. We hope to come back again!!!

It was well decorated, neat, updated and clean.The owner was helpful and friendly. The bed could have been more comfortable. The packed breakfast was good, but a cooked meal might have been more of a special treat, given the price to stay for a night. Small,things could be added —like a full length mirror. Or close up makeup mirror. However the bath was very clean and spacious. Lovely place to stay and convenient location!

A most enjoyable and comfortable stay! A fresh take on accommodations in a lovely antique home. Attention to detail without being stuffy. The owners and “staff” very attentive and warm. We will return and will not hesitate to recommend the Addison Choate to anyone visiting the Rockport/Glouster area.

We loved our stay. The Addison Choate in Rockport is a beautiful boutique hotel. Owners are friendly and highly detailed oriented making our stay very special. The hotel is conveniently located to town and shoreline. Beds are super comfy, shower is amazing and toiletries a delightful!

Lovely property owned and maintained by a husband and wife who understand the value in experience. They provide a beautifully appointed space equipped with top notch amenities from the plush mattress, luxurious bedding, high end decor and spa quality soap and shampoo. The great room has cozy couches, games, turntable with great music choices plus a library area with a variety of material to read. Breakfast is included and served 'brown bag" style which we took out to the porch to enjoy. I cant say enough great things about this property. The owners truly made our east coast experience memorable.

Had a comfortable stay overall. Great location, and Check in and check out was easy. The stairs to get up to the room were very steep so be cautious. The to go breakfast was a nice idea, though we would have appreciated more/fresher options. The bed was a little too soft which impacted sleep.

The property is everything you see online and more. Clean. Warm. Beautiful. But what you might not realize is the incredible value brought by the owners/staff. It was like having a personal tour guide, yet without any inconvenience. They were super helpful but never intrusive. We highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! Jim was a fantastic host, thank you. Our room was spotless, very comfortable bed, bedding and pillows were super. Didn’t want for anything in our room. The inn is really great, beautifully decorated. Fun turntable to play your favourite record on. Rockport was a fantastic place to get lost and enjoy the sights, beautiful. I can’t say enough!

The room was amazing, unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for breakfast as I had to leave early so I am unable to rate that part of the experience, but the room was extremely clean and cozy. The bathroom was also spotless and luxurious, and the water pressure in the shower was out of this WORLD! Definitely recommend and 10/10 would stay there again.

Absolutely loved this place! They offer truly five star accommodation. It had a quirky and historic vibe while also feeling incredibly modern and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic, bathroom was great, breakfast was great… couldn’t recommend it more highly.

My wife and I booked this hotel for a two night stay in Rockport. This was our first stay at this hotel, it won't be our last. We stayed in the "Crow's Nest" room. What a great place to stay. A bit of a climb, (2 flights) but worth the effort.
Our hosts, Marshall and Courtney were just awesome. Very attentive to their guests and to their establishment.
My wife and I wish them continued success. They deserve it.

We really enjoyed our 1 night at the Addison Choate. The property is well located, very clean with very responsive innkeepers. You choose your breakfast items such as yogurt, croissants, cereal, fruit, granola, etc. the night before and it is available for you in the morning.
Our room was comfortable but did not have air conditioning so was somewhat stuffy. It was also at the top of a narrow winding set of stairs which may be challenging for some people.

Marshall was a wonderful host. He was attentive, accomodatinf, kind, ans supportive. He provided us with options to explore, solutions to a need for ans extra bed, and checked in to enaure our needs where met. The Inn was beautifully equipped with a great bathroom with wonderful shower pressure, spa toiletries, a minni fridge, bottled water, and kurig with cofee and tea options. We love the character and details in the decoration and common areas. It was waklable to shops, restaurants and beaches. Beautiful town with great historic qualities. We look forward to going again.
