We chose a non-smoking room and were given one that smelled like a chimney. Smoke permeated every area of this hotel. The site promised breakfast but for four days they were out of milk, biscuits and etc. I asked staff to pick up milk so my son wouldn't have to eat waffles every morning and they said they would but never did. There was trash every where outside and it appeared some people were living in the rooms. I will NEVER stay in another Rhodeway Inn, especially this one. I feel like I should have gotten a full refund for the conditions we stayed in.

It was easy check in and room fresh with big tv.

There were roaches. I have them on video. Very dusty and outdated. Walls were dirty.

The hotel staff looked like they just rolled out of bed. Very unprofessional looking. Our room was “non-smoking” but the rooms nearby were smoking rooms. The entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Our kids kept commenting on how the sheets smelled weird. The hotel is outdated and there were holes in our bathroom walls. The “breakfast” was Walmart donuts with the yellow clearance sticker on the package. I would not recommend this hotel!

When I got to the hotel, they explained to me that I was going to be on the second floor but the elevator was out of service and I could not walk up the stairs. Therefore they traded rooms with someone else. When I went into the room, it hadn't been clean yet. They asked me to wait an hour and they would clean the room. After waiting an hour, I finally got into the room and on the bed was black hair and on the sheets was a bug. Also, there was black bugs in the bathroom sink. Since the hotel was full, they didn't have another room for me. When I talk to the lady at the front desk and told her what was going on she said that she would give me a full refund. I only got a partial refund not the full amount. I would not stay here ever again and I would not recommend it to anyone else. I ended up at Best Western in town and I would recommended it instead.

It was enjoyable stay

We had a horrible experience here. We had 2 rooms that were located on the 2nd floor. The elevator was broken so we had to carry all of stuff up the stairs no big deal, however it would have been nice to know when we checked in. The stairways were really dirty, you can tell they haven't been cleaned in a long long time. As soon as we walked into the 2nd floor all you could smell is strong cigarette smoke. We got to our rooms there was black marks up and down wall on outside of the door from people snuffing out their cigarettes. The rooms smelt just as bad the hall way. Both rooms had several burn holes in the bed spreads. There was white stuff smeared all over the curtains and one of the bed skirts. The chairs were so filthy, we couldn't sit in them. It looked like a 2 year old had been sitting in them eating. The bathroom was dirty with hair and dirt on the back of the counter. When I talked to the front desk lady she said that she the 2/3 of the 2nd floor is smoking, would give us a new bedspreads, and if need be we could move to the first floor the next day. They brought us 2 sheets in replacement of the bedspreads.

Went to check in was told the room we requested was upstairs & the elevator was broken. No rooms downstairs with the accommodations we wanted. Asked why they didn't contact us, she said we booked through a 3 party & didn't have the contact info. No refund because of the 3rd party booking. She called their "sister" motel, Oak Hill Inn, down the road & got us a room. HORRIABLE! Dirty run down. We looked at 3 rooms before one was not as filthy at the others. We stayed one night & left the next day. Didn't stay there for the rest of our trip.

Excellent staff, great location and a good price.

Everthing was down for maintenance including the elevator. They tried to put disabled people on the 2nd floor with no elevator.

It was the only hotel with rooms. It's old and outdated. The hallways and public areas have a very strong weird smell. Almost like mildew. The beds were okay. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was horrible. It's definitely a one star...... I would give it a two star only due to the location.

When we arrived, had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come in from outside. Room was fine but warm. Set air conditioner to 68 to try and get cooler. It barely ran and did not get cooler. We thought it would over night, as we were tired and went to bed. Next morning, not cooler. Went to bathroom and there was a bug crawling on the wall. Packed up and was going to say something on way out, but one within hearing distance to talk to. We also heard a dog barking and this is a no pets allowed. Will not stay there ever again.

From the beginning it started off bad when I first got there they were doing a shift exchange which is understandable but I said there for over an hour while they were doing shift change and talking and having full conversations with each other while for five hours it was sitting there waiting for them to get done then I get the room and the lights one of the night lights don’t work the microwave don’t have a plate there’s loose boards all over the floor out coming out from the front the toilet won’t flush and I let them know the same day they tell me they’re gonna look at it they never looked at it two days pass by I go back and tell him what’s going on and the lady tells me that I never mentioned anything about her I’d sit there and tell her that I was I talk to her about it about the light in the microwave and all that issue and she pretended like she didn’t know I was reminding her what day and around what time and then she said oh yes I remember that the late day so from that point on a note that it was a lie so I started recording because she said that I never spoke to nobody about it and she kept telling me how basically it’s my fault how everything is messed up and so I recorded how disrespectful she was and how they talk to you later unprofessionally to be honest it’s the worst day ever

First room had not been cleaned, but reception apologized and put us into another room. The facility could use some additional cleaning, and the elevator was broken, but it was fine for a weekend stay. The breakfast options were nice.

Room was dirty. Smelled bad. The staff did try to help by having a machine that sanitized it, but it didn't seem to help much. The staff was very friendly and tried to help.

The friendliness and speed of the front desk person was great. Pool was closed "due to Covid," which I understand.There was no breakfast either, for the same reason.They had rice Krispy treats and nutty buddies upon request. The hallway to our room was dirty with small trash bits and smelled very strong of cigarettes. The room itself was initially inviting. Linens seemed clean. There were 2 chairs in the room, one terribly stained and the other was broken, so nowhere to sit and eat except the beds. A/C worked great.The beds were fairly comfortable and there were several pillows. A 2.5 ft piece of rubber base board was off the wall and just laying on the floor. Mini fridge seemed to work fine.There was a coffee pot with plenty of coffee. It was a bit off-putting that it was IN the bathroom. Ice pail (also IN the bathroom) was dirty but had a baggie..ice machine worked fine. Bathroom had very little toilet paper.Floor of the tub was broken and had a patch piece over it but it was extremely difficult and scary to balance on. Toilet kept running. Bathroom door wouldn't latch and it opened slowly as you did your business five feet away. Wasn't a big deal for our family, but i would have been mortified had it been a group other than my husband and daughter. Bathroom walls around sink were dirty and had what looked like blood spatter under the mirror. Would have changed rooms but all booked up.No price adjustment allowed because we booked through Expedia.

Mold was covering the shower curtains. Cigarette burns on the sheets. Lobby flooring was disgusting. Clerks were unbothered by guests, focused on friends. Obvious drug activity within the hotel.

The facilities could be a lot cleaner. My room was clean enough but the bathroom coukd have been cleaner. The edges on the bathroom floor were filthy. The hallway carpets needed vacuuming . Unless there are changes made in cleanliness i woukd not recommend this place.

Not worth it, dirty and even had roaches

Unexpected fees upon arrival. The hotel smelled of cigarette smoke & old booze. Our room had the odor of an ashtray and stains on the bedsheets, carpet, & window curtains. We eventually decided against staying the night. We couldn't get a refund. It was just an overall bad experience for us.

Property was awful, absolutely infested with roaches. Seen at least 50 roaches in our room, do not understand how they can be booked in such condition.

Bed bugs! I checked in went to the room checked it out and went and checked out.

First room we were given was 1) not the room I booked 2) a smoking room that wreaked of smoke and 3) hadn’t even been cleaned after the previous occupant left, the beds were still left as if people had just gotten out of them. Then we were told they were completely booked and couldn’t do anything about it. She did finally get us in another room, but when we got to that room it was still not very clean although the beds were made the bathroom had not been cleaned. Then an hour later the toilet started running nonstop because the inside components were broken. My husband that works as a maintenance supervisor had to turn the water off to the toilet to get it to stop constantly trying to fill leaving the toilet unusable for the night. Would not recommend this property nor will we stay here again. We also had a very late check in initially because they said they had no housekeeping that day. That would have warned us off but we had already paid and they refused to refund our payment for the room. Terrible experience from the beginning. My advice is STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

There was an Oder in the room , bathroom sink didn’t drain well , older hotel , pool water looked green , but overall we had a good night sleep!

The elevator was very slow, repairs in progress. Room was dirty, especially the refrigerator. The carpet in front of fridge was wet. Bottom of fridge had not been wiped out...mold visible and bad smell.

If you need internet stay else where. Some rooms dont even have WiFi service. My first room didnt and i moved. Waste of time as no internet when i got service. Owner knows but choses to not to fix issues.

This is my first hotel stay since COVID so I may just be seeing new protocols in the hospitality business. I don't know. The exercise room, the business room, and the pool were not available for use. The pool was open the night we came in and thought to use it the next day but it was "closed for maintenance." Other information was not forthcoming even when we asked. The baseboard molding was pulling away from the wall in the room. When I wanted extra bathroom towels, I was required to bring our soaking wet towels to the lobby desk to exchange for new ones. That seemed a bit bizarre to me. I am also used to housekeeping coming in and straightening the beds and bathroom to replace the towels if they are on the floor. No one entered our room while we were out at all. It all just seemed a bit odd. All in all, it was adequate.
