Room was very small,

The river view and outside patio area were recently upgraded.
The inn is on the main road and traffic noise could be heard.
The inn is very old and the rooms and hallways are in need of renovation. Floors in room slant very noticeably and this is disorienting. Tiny rooms. Tiny closet. Sub standard bathroom. Sheetrock peeling.
Coffee machine in room with 4-5 coffee pods but only 2 little milk cups. Inn charges $1.00 for each extra milk cup! About two tablespoons of milk!
Would never go back.
We did not like this place at all.

Old and small-terrible bathroom for a b&b extremely overpriced for amenities provided.

This property is the quintessential VT experience. It is close to town, quiet, on a beautiful landscape and very cozy.
I had the delicious breakfasts daily and would recommend that all guests do so at least one morning.
It is an old farmhouse and that is the charm, so there could be some sacrifices for the luxury hotel guest including a small shower, no TVs in your room, and an “older smell” to the property.
However, this was my VT fantasy for a great experience. Book it!
I highly recommend a stay

Great Inn, so clean and the beds were so comfortable. Mara, the owner was very friendly until she told us in a not so friendly way that we could no longer sit outside by the fireplace.

The Lincoln Inn is a cute, cozy getaway close to the heart of Woodstock VT. The rooms are well appointed with lovely furnishings and the patio is a great place to grab a drink at the end of a busy day.

Was comfortable. Served breakfast but all other food service was closed. No TV in room, except for room 1. Bar and lounge were very cute.

Loved the covered bridge ….Mara was very accommodating! The chef ‘s grilled veggies for bkft were really good and her egg white omelet was So Fluffy & Delicious! YUMWe were alittle concerned w/ 3 way extention plugs in bdr considering the age of the property ! Would have preferred One really comfortable chair vs the 2 straight back chairs in the yellow bdr! A fire in the frpl stove would have been really nice as the evenings were cooler & living room was chilly! …a nice ambiance too! Guests who chose not to partake in your 7course dining experience felt alittle Out of place and a fifth wheel…We understand or feel your focus is on those meals….We absolutely loved everything about your breakfast : granola/jams/vegetables/egg white white omelets !

Breakfast was great. Property is nice and quiet. Back of property is beautiful.

This property is adorable. We had a room with a queen bed and a twin bed. My entire party felt the beds were very comfortable, and the Inn itself is charming. Breakfast was amazing!

The view is amazing. But they should work on the wifi connection. It's a little bit spotty at times.

We spent two nights in the Inn, eating one night in the restaurant. The inn was perfectly satisfactory for an older place. Doors creaked, the floors were slightly crooked, the beds were older, but the real delight of the place was the gourmet restaurant at the Inn. We would highly recommend the 7 course Prefixe dinner. Imaginative, very unique, and truly delicious!

If you stay here, plan on at least one night of the seven-course chef tasting menu with the wine pairing -- though that might make negotiating the narrow staircase up to the second-floor bedrooms more challenging than usual. Lovely spot in a pretty town, and do take some time in the evening to sit by the river in one of those white Adirondack chairs, and watch the stars come out.

The owner and General Manager was friendly, professional and has excellent people skills. Really enjoyed our stay at this excellent Inn.

I went for a solo trip in order to recharge and have quiet relaxation. The Lincoln Inn delivered exactly that! The daily breakfast is amazing, with my preferences being remember and delivered without a hitch. The seven course meal by Chef is the best I have ever eaten, hands down. Anything, within reason, I asked for was delivered quickly and by good spirits. I will make the Lincoln Inn a new annual destination. But next time, I brings friends!

A lovely inn right on the river. Great place for us to stay while attending family reunion. Breakfast was excellent

The Inn rests in a perfect setting next to a beautiful river. The rooms are clean and cozy and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The Inn's restaurant is outstanding with a chef who works magic presenting one meal after another as good if not better than those served in the finest dining establishments in the nation.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was delicious. We will stay again and plan on having dinner at the Inn.

Marvelous little inn near the cute town of Woodstock, VT. The town and the inn look like movie sets for New England. There are six rooms (my family filled five of them), each well sized with up-to-date bathrooms and comfortable beds. The owner and the chef are both lovely and the other staff are friendly and accommodating. Our deal included breakfast - don't miss it, it is fantastic - everything is made to order and the home made jam is a treat.
We ate at the hotel one night - the food was a gastronomic delight. We had started our vacation in Montreal, one of my favorite cities for food, but if anything, it felt like a step up in quality and imagination. I will definitely return whenever I want to see fall in New England again.

I had a wonderful but short visit at the Lincoln. The location is great, right outside of Woodstock. The property is wonderful, a large lawn extending right to the river where you can have a drink while sitting in an Adirondack chair. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I made the mistake of eating dinner before arriving so I missed the opportunity for a great dinner. The bar was cozy and breakfast was delicious. The tastiest and freshest fruit salad I’ve ever had. It made me regret even more that I missed have dinner at the Lincoln. The rooms are what you would expect from an old inn but everything else makes it a great place to stay. I hope to return soon.

Woodstock, VT is a wonderful town to visit. Although
the Lincoln Inn is a beautiful property it was a little disappointing. Normally, you would not need air conditioning in VT. We came on 2 of the hottest days of the year. No air conditioning, no fans. The Inn was very clean. Smaller than I expected.

What a nice experience! Refreshing compared to most places to stay. Excellent cuisine, served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the chef and owner are extremely pleasant and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Am looking forward to returning next year.

I don't like to write negative reviews so I'll start with the good stuff:
PROS
1. Very friendly staff! Owner and "bell boy" were very nice and accommodated our check in during the dinner period (we didn't know they had just one dinner seating).
2. Warm comforters on both beds.
3. Comfortable beds (especially for a cot)
4. Secure WiFi worked well.
5. Pretty location.
CONS
1. Room was not clean. Shower curtain was very dirty and shower was so-so. There were unsettling spots on the wall next to the cot bed. Decorative quilt and some decorative pillows on Bed #2 were dirty. Bathroom floor and sheets seemed clean, though.
2. We didn't learn until we checked in that breakfast was served at 9 AM (just one seating)- we were not able to enjoy it as we had to leave at 7:30. There were no baked goods or coffee set out for early-rising guests, like at most B&B's. Only two Keurig cups in the room- not the same as real coffee.
3. Very noisy- could see through the floor to the room below!. Could hear everything from downstairs and adjoining rooms.
NEUTRAL
1. Very, very small room. I take the blame for not calling to get more information.
2. We didn't expect Bed #2 to be a military cot. It was pretty comfortable, though.
3. Dinner smelled good, although we didn't eat there.

Slept in a cold room, as I wasn't told about heating controls. Very poor lighting. Big gap by the hinges when the door was closed.
Very disappointing, poor experience.

The Lincoln Inn & Restaurant At The Covered Bridge:
The main building of the B&B was a well maintained old house, with a nice sitting area good for reading and chatting. Our guest room was clean, roomy and comfortable.
On arrival, we were greeted by Nick, a friendly guy. He informed us that breakfast starts at 8:00 A.M. The next morning about ten past eight, I ventured into the dining area; however, the dining room door was locked. I informed my wife and she was curious. I was about walking down to the river to take a few pictures, and noticed that there were light and sound coming from the kitchen. I knocked on the kitchen door. Here they are – Nick and anther young lad were dressed up in full waiter uniform with black tie. I invited my wife down. Only two of us (before joining by other guests about half an hour later). We were served with juice, fresh coffee, fresh berries with yogurt, and breakfast cooked to our order.
Early in the morning, a cook and two waiters were ready, waiting to serve us breakfast. Later, the lady manager (owner) walked in expressing niceties. What we had done to deserve all these nice and friendly treatment? One has to be there to experience a moment of “good life.” Many thanks to the host and the service personnel.

We stayed for one night on Wednesday, 5th September 2012, thinking we were within easy walking distance of Woodstock. At the time of booking the map location on Expedia was incorrect, but it looks like this has now been corrected. Instead of being on the edge of town the location is in fact a 10 minute drive outside Woodstock in the middle of nowhere, which was disappointing.
We were the only guests that night so had a choice of rooms. All are beautifully decorated but they are small. In the room we chose the air conditioning proved to be noisy. The service was excellent and welcoming and breakfast very good.
There is an award winning restaurant within and due to the drive we decided to give it a go. I have to say it was the best meal of our holiday, but also the most expensive - quality costs. Unfortunately there were only two other dinners, so a lack of atmosphere. I imagine it gets busy at weekends.
Overall a pleasant stay, but for us let down by the location.

If you are looking for something different to a chain hotel then this is it. A family hotel with some interesting rooms and decor and excellent food if you were prepared to pay a bit. Breakfast was french toast and coffee which was prepared beautifully but there was no other choice. The restaurant had won many awards but we did not want a huge meal so the chef made us some soup which was quite expensive. Would definitely give it a try if the above is to your liking, if not staying then try the food there at least.

I stayed at the Lincoln Inn at the Covered Bridge this past Saturday night. A friend was getting married in Quechee and I didn't want to pay the high rates associated with the large "Inn" in downtown Woodstock. I don't frequent B&Bs - I'm more of a 5-star/5-diamond hotel girl! - but figured "when in Vermont!" and was not the slightest bit disappointed.
The Inn is lovely - very homey, comfortable and clean. Because of the wedding, I didn't get the chance to have dinner at Mangowood, but I can say that the berry-stuffed French toast Teresa made for breakfast was incredible... YUM!
I'm a giant hotel snob and could not find one thing I didn't like about the Lincoln Inn. Thank you, Amy and Teresa, for your hospitality!
2.5
A very nice inn. It's in a very old house, so don't expect the Four Seasons, but it was a nice place to stay. Comfortable room, nice shared "living room", along with a bar (where we had a drink) and a restaurant (we went into Woodstock, but the restaurant seemed quite popular.)
Only thing we'd change is an earlier breakfast time - we could not get the breakfast and get to Killington early enough. If we are back in the area, we will definitely be inclined to stay here again.
