The staff was very friendly. It's an older hotel

We paid for an ocean view room and when we arrived we were told we could not go out on the decks. The ocean is hard to view because the windows are dirty and old, there is not an option to take a picture. Had I known the decks were closed I would have paid for the cheaper option. They have put screws on the sliders so they do not open and we were told there is a fee if the screw is removed. They are tight on the towels, you must return the towels to get new towels. Our room was nice. Elevator broke while we were there.

I have to say that the ladies who assisted with my check in process were TERRIFIC. I just wish that there could have been a better solution to the lack of room cleaners on staff. I was not pleased with the wait, but I know they were doing their best. As a suggestion, may I recommend text alerts to inform incoming guests of any delays that might occur? I appreciate your consideration and time for reading my message.

The place is really run down. Our toilet was coming up out of floor. Very old and needs some tlc!!!!

Very unfortunate that this property is not being taken care of. When we got there our room was not stocked with anything, I had to wait for them to bring stuff. The hot tub was filthy and unusable. Couldn't go out onto the balconies as they were under renovation. Couldn't get the restaurant to answer the phone so not sure why they say they have room service. I asked for handicap room and ended up on the third floor. The TV in the bedroom wouldn't work at all.

Unique access to the beach! Didn't like having to go up to the 3rd floor, walk ALL the way to end of floor just to get a bucket of ice! Also no towels in room! Had to go to office to get them. Counter people very courteous!

Rooms were not ready at check in. This happened to several guests.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. However we had no prior notice; until checking in, that our balcony was off limits. A balcony with an ocean view, is half the reason we chose this hotel. Really disappointed. Secondly our room was really not cleaned well. There was someone’s hair in the shower, the toilet was not cleaned, there was cereal on the kitchen floor, and candy wrappers until the living chairs. Seemed like the room had a real quick once over cleaning.

I liked the place until they told you that you couldn't go on the balcony, they even put a screw in the door so people couldn't go out. You could open the door a few inches that was it the reason behind it was they are renovating. Also the bed and couch was very uncomfortable my back was hurting too much we left a day early. Everything else was good.

We weren't able to get into our room until 7 because it wasn't ready and then once we finally were able to get in we found that it wasn't really cleaned and found numerous disturbing items left in the room. We have been staying there at least a few times a year for several years and I was extremely disappointed this time. The only good thing was the front desk staff, they remained calm and polite during all of our issues along with numerous other people that were complaining about similar problems.

Been to the Polynesian many times over the past 2 decades. The place was exceptionally clean, with no strange odors for a pet friendly room. Our 3rd floor balcony was off limits, so I suspect some external renovations are needed. No a/c is my only criticism.

It's an older resort and showing its age. We were disappointed that we couldn't use the balcony, and the carpet had some stains, but otherwise it was fine. I would stay there again if the balcony was usable.

No breakfast during the week. And restaurant not open on Monday. Wasn’t clear on Expedia web page

Was very nice for families. Kids loved the pool and aracade room. Rooms were very spacious.

Pet pee stained carpet. Paid for the ocean view, but they had the deck blocked off. Not enough people upfront took 45 minutes to check into my room.

Like most resorts at ocean shores the property is older with minimal renovations since the property was built in the 1970's. The staff was friendly and helpful, property was clean overall just dated. Being able to walk to the beach was nice but a tad bit of a walk through the brush/bushes.

Property needs updating and multiple areas of fixing up

Pictures of property is very deceiving, property is dirty and the room and lobby both have a heavy smell of mold. The pool is also dirty and smells. We checked in at 4 pm and we’re checking out by 8pm and decided to just drive the 2 hours home due to the room conditions.

The first thing I saw was the messy bathroom near the game room. Someone had vomited all over the floor. Ugh! The decks are in repair so no going out on the deck. The view was a peek a boo view, you can almost see the water over the tundra. The elevator was very smelly and the bed was just ok. Would I go there again, probably not. Just wasn't the stay I had hoped for. Friendly staff helped a little.

We've stayed here a few times over the last 10 years. Things were much better before Covid. Insufficient towels, etc., in room. Had to pick them up and toiletries at the front desk. Not allowed on room decks due to failing structure. No lights in the pool. Water too cold in pool, too hot in hot tub. They used to provide continental breakfast, now only coffee. Front desk staff was friendly.

It was a perfect spot to stay, especially with children. It has a little park for kids and even a game room too. It felt like a home away from home. With a ten minute walk to the ocean beach and anything you could need right in your room or a simple ask at the front desk. We will definitely be coming back and recommend it to others.

The people above us had kids running back and forth for hours on end it was really annoying it would be nice to have had a room without kids around people without kids at one end and with kids at the other end seems like it would not be that difficult to keep the children separate from the people without kids we have kids and grandkids but were not traveling with them also the pool was supposed to have the children out at 10 pm and they were still there at almost 11

Second time staying here. Our room this time was pretty dated other than that it was great.

It was easy to walk to the ocean from the hotel with a pathway. It allowed pets, but didnt know until we got there that there was a $25 a night pet fee. There was still things in drawers. We, unfortunately, had fleas in our room. And our room was right next to a door that let outside and it would slam shut which was loud with 4 sleeping kids at 6am.

The lady that checked us in was very patient and kind. Her customer service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay. However, the building is outdated and could use an upgrade. There is a smell of pet odor in the hallways and our room.

Large rooms were great. Fireplace good. Bedding was 100yrs old and questionable. Patios were falling off the building.

I hadn"t been to Ocean Shores in years. The Polynesian always fascinated me. I left a 2 star on cleanliness because the carpet was a little stained and the coffee pot hadn't been cleaned. The other thing that perturbed me was we couldn't use the balcony or even open the door and the unit had no A/C. I understand its under new management. The staff was awesome and truly seemed ibvested in pleasing their guests. Hopefully, it improves.

We were told the balcony doors had been secured to only open 4” due to safety concerns. Imagine our shock when we are laying in bed and someone from the room next door was standing on our balcony looking into our room. When asked by staff they said they were getting their dog. I do not believe this as you do not need to come to the rail near the bedroom window and look in if you are getting your dog. The staff worker did not re-secure their door, did not ask them to leave, did not call the police. We did not feel safe to stay so at 10:30 at night we packed up and drove 2 1/2 hours home. A Thirty one dollar discount is what they feel our safety and peace of mind is worth. THIRTY ONE DOLLARS. For a $200 /night stay they gave us $31! Unbelievable. They would never treat their friends or family this way I guarantee it. Stay somewhere else!

I booked for 1 night and then decided to book a 2nd night. I paid for both nights upfront. The first night was fine then the 2nd day I went out for a run and when I got back at 11:30 am, the phone was ringing. It was the front desk telling me that check out was at 11:00 am. I told them that i already paid for a second night. They apologized. I thought it was rude. They should have checked first instead of accusing me of not checking out on time. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door and it was the front desk lady giving me new keys to the room. She stated that the night auditor canceled my room keys thinking I only paid for 1 night. I just wanted to be left alone. Very unprofessional

Restaurant was not open for breakfast during the week. Food was not that good

Older property but room was very clean. We would stay again.
