Making my way from Milano to the Dolomites, stopped off for a few days in Rovereto to get over jet-lag and to explore. Leon d'Oro is a great hotel, easy walk from the railway station. Comfortable, quiet, warm, great breakfast, friendly staff - I'd happily stay there again and recommend to my friends. It is very close to the city centre and very clean, The breakfast is OK. I missed Soymilk and other substitutes to milk. Little for vegetarians.

An excellent hotel, very close to the town centre. Secure underground parking was extra, but worth it. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was very good. Breakfast was excellent. A good stay for us.

Nice hotel but nearby difficult to find good restaurant

Good location, just a 5-minute walk from train station. Quiet as it is just off the main road where we did our shopping. Would recommend it to our friends.

One night stay for us, very happy with the hotel in terms of location easy flat walk to town and railway/bus statiom. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. Room was great, newly renovated. Late check out a good feature. We visited Rovereto especially for the MART which is also located an easy walk from the hotel. The MART was a little disappointing for us but you may love it. The building is impressive. We loved the short time spent in Rovereto town and both got a good feeling about the place everyone we came across seemed happy. . In the late afternoon we visited one of the local bars for a few glasses of the excellent Alto Adige Lagrein before settling in at Risorante il Doge for dinner. A fabulous find no pizza or tourist pasta, a great menu. Rovereto and Leon d'oro would be a good base to explore the town and what the wider region has to offer.

Great bathroom that was more akin with what you would expect from a suite. Breakfast only OK but included in the price. Staff very helpful and friendly (they suggested a fantastic restaurant for us - Il Doge - which was a 10 minute walk away). Situated just behind the main street and close to the "old town" so walking distance to lots of restaurants. From Rovereto it is an easy drive to Gardasee (20 minute drive if there is no traffic) and numerous vineyards. For a holiday, you of course wont be lakeside but you will struggle to beat the quality for the price in the region.

Very nice hotel, very nice room and bathroom. Very poor breakfast service : no refill, no service, you have to clean and dress your table yourself, you have to look for the service in the kitchen to get plates, a glass, bread, a warm drink, ... Although personnel is wellwilling, we definitely have the impression that there is a lack of it, during breakfast time.

We had a nice room and were directly in the old, a short walk took us to the castle, museums, restaurants. I really enjoyed the pool, it was small and a bit chilly, since it was still late May, but quite refreshing and the hot tub was great, too. The hotel has limited parking but it was adequate, we didnt have to move the car until the day we left. The service was great and the staff was excellent and friendly. It is the Trentino Wine growing area and the wine is great and not expensive.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Pretty good WI-FI. The only issue I would say - hard to set the desired warm temperature in the room. Climate control did not seem to respond to higher temperature requests.

This attractive modern hotel exceeded my expectations. My room was spacious, comfortable and very pleasantly laid out. Continental breakfast was generous. Staff were very pleasant, and helpful in answering my queries. Even though my stay was short, I was afforded reductions on local tourist attractions.

The hotel is located very near the train station, and fairly close to most other things as Rovereto is small! The hotel has air-conditioning, which was one of major selection criteria. The room was comfortable, with free Wifi, safe and mini-bar which I was able to use as a fridge. When I checked in, Wifi, the safe and the phone didn't work, but a quick visit to the front desk fixed those. The hotel was fairly cheap and good value for money. They have a standard room and a superior room with breakfast. I think for most the standard room is fine (few differences and the breakfast isn't that special)

This hotel reminded us of an Alpine chalet. That makes sense because this beautiful town is in the shadow of the Alps (in this beautiful valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains). The room was not large but contained everything we needed. The staff were helpful and professional.
