Great easy stay

It was ok. Friendly well mannered staff. Good kitchen and dining area. shared a room with four men. There were only two lockers and the floor was unbearably creaky. I mean every step creaked really loudly. Totally spoiled the experience for me Room 211 sort it out! And a few hooks attached to the wall or even the bed would be so usefull.

What a surprise! This is a beautiful property located right next to the Castle. Easy to get to, nice big kitchen, clean, and safe. The staff was so friendly— we couldn’t ask for more!

Bit expensive for the twin room for what you get.

Staff was friendly and overall experience very nice. It was me with two teenagers and private room. Very basic, just as described. The shower was the only minus, because as it was attached to the roof, it was very difficult to wash downstairs. Good place to stay when viditing around Scotland. Would go again! Hotels.com says you can pay arriving but that is not the case. I got a message from hostel that i need to pay forward.

Twin room was tired, i have stayed here before in a 4 man room which was much better, the shower was powerful but only luke warm also i could not get WiFi signal in the room, went to a local pub for tea and downloaded some films. Not the staffs fault at all just needs management to throw some money at it.

Amazing! I only property conditions a 4/5 star because the lock on the door to the bathroom adjoining our room got stuck, its a bit loose. So i got trapped in there until someone on the otherside held the handle up so the lock aligned. There wasnt anybody at the desk to tell and im sure they would have fixed it. The girl i roomed with said she would tell them later. But staff were great, facilities were good, and the location is within walking distance of food, more car parks, the jail is nextdoor, ans the castle is a 4 min walk. Id go back again.

This was an amazing place to stay with a great location, facility, and friendly staff.

Perfect location close to castle & other historical sites. Few minutes walk to restaurants, shops, cafes etc. I had amazing views from my room at the front, doulbe aspect. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Great location

I stayed in a individual room and not a dorm. This is like a college style dorm but the individual room was great. Quiet location, The location was great and you could walk to everything. Amazing parking directing out front (only 5 spaces) and amazing historic setting. Front desk staff wonderful good WiFi. Good hot water. Wonderful common area with nice kitchen area. Tiny little sink and weird pressure. Again what a great location. I would return again .

I had an amazing experience at Stirling youth hostel! It's a 5 minute walk from Stirling castle and old time jail, as well as from lots of shops and restaurants. Very conveniently located. The staff were the best part. Everybody was so helpful and personable, especially Hamish! So glad I chose to stay here!

The room was very basic and had a lot of condensation and peeling paint. The side lamp was broken. Cheap and cheerful (and warm)

Comfortable for our family and conveniently located. The view from our room was also lovely, overlooking the city. It was very clean and perfect for us. I’d stay again!

Generally it was good. However, the water from the shower flowed into the room a bit (there was just a shower curtain and not a door), which was disconcerting. We didn't have towels, so we didn't have anything to mop it up. If it wasn't for this, we would have been very happy. The breakfast was nice.

Hostel was clean & warm. Beds were comfy, room spacious and en-suite which was fantastic. easy check in process. Great for an overnight stay.

Great place

Fantastic heritage building a short walk from the train station and next door to the Jail, Church and just below the hill from the Castle. Room was comfortable, clean and an amazingly large shower. Would definitely stay here again!

Maybe don't chose the breakfast: Burnt croissants, five slices of cheese for all guests to share. Very sparse.

No outlets for charging electronics for my bed and only had two lockers for a room with four beds. The private shower and bathroom is more annoying than it is convenient if the other people wake up earlier than you. Hotel staff was friendly though, and it was cheap.

Brother and I stayed for one night, booked on the morning and was available. Room was a good size, two single beds, two small cupboards, and a walk in wet room, with toilet. Kitchen was just down the hall, and was well stocked with with equipment. Staff was friendly. Felt safe. Surrounding area was lovely. Walking around the area was lovely, locals were very friendly. Great for the price and a comfy bed!!

The room was clean as were the common parts which were comfortable and well equipped. Our room was clean. We had our own large modern and clean shower plus wc and basin. The location is great. A very short walking distance from castle, jail Tolbooth and Holy Rude. Not much further walk to shops cafes and eateries. For the price it offered good value, the level of comfort you’d expect from simple hostel rooms and a great location with free parking.

Amazing hostel overall, great location, staff and amenities the only complaint would be it’s a very old building with very squeaky floors. You can hear the people above you and around you to the point it can keep you from sleeping because it’s just so loud.
