Very nicely located. Great breakfast. Very nice staff. Very walkable. Cute and comfortable rooms.
I suggest booking a room on the top floor as I had some issues with noise. The hotel staff promptly addressed my concerns.
Overall, a pleasant stay.

Hotel Paulette was lovely and had an elevator and very filling breakfast. The room was quiet. Not far from the famous cathedral.

On the plus side, every member of the staff that I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is also very close to the center of town. The internet was also pretty good.
On the downside, I booked a triple room for 3 people. I have never been so claustrophobic in a hotel room. The room must have once been an attic. The elevator stopped on the 3rd floor and then you had to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor. Our room barely fit the two beds with about .5 meter between them. There was not enough space for our 3 carry on bags and we had to use the bathroom for storage. The walls were angled and the only outlet to the outside world was a small skylight. The shower was a hand shower and had no curtain. You had to hunch over so that you could stand against the angled wall and not get water all over the bathroom floor. The room could have been manageable for a single person, but not three.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great. Room very clean, but small (no closet). Beds were comfortable. Easy to walk to and from the hotel to all the major sights and restaurants.

uncomfortable bed, small room, non functional WiFi, noisy street. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Nice lokation for sightseeing in Rouen

Ideal location as we were treating ourselves to dinner at Restaurant Gill (2 Michelin stars) just 50m away, also the exit from the underground car park for Opera

A thoroughly pleasing smaller European hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Great location, in walking distance from sites, restaurants, museums etc. Comfortable beds. The breakfast is disappointing for the price you pay though.

the pro's: The hotel staff, both the young man who checked us in and the couple who were there after hours and in the morning were considerate and spoke English well, especially helpful for those of us who don't speak French. The neighborhood was okay, close to the river Seine and within walking distance to the Cathedral, which was why we went to Rouen.
The hot water pressure was great as well.
the con's: the rooms look nowhere close to the pictures. I know they hardly ever do but, this was night and day. the rooms were unappealing and I would never had stayed there.
The internet was spotting
, wouldn't work at night but, I did get it to work in the morning. Sites I wanted to research just kept spinning.
The worse part was the toilet wouldn't flush because the tank wouldn't fill up. I got the lid off, and saw that it had so much mildew it probably was clogging the filler spray. They need a dash of clorax to kill the mildew. Had to use the garbage pail to fill with water to flush the toilet. Not Good.
So Location decent. Staff Great!! Room I would pass on.

The hotel is in a very good position, close to the Rue Jeanne D'Arc, River seine and Vieux marche. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay This was billed as a 'no frills' hotel and I guess that is what it is - a good, basic, clean and friendly place to lay your head and experience Rouen. Our room, and the bath room particularly, was quite small but perfectly good for a short stay.

Lovely welcome great location comfortable bed in room. No Tea/coffee facilities in room but I could order a pot of hot chocolate from front desk for 2.50 Euros. Owners very helpful with my lack of French language skills.

Nice basic hotel. A bit older, but very clean. Staff was friendly and responsive to questions. Provided assistance when I forgot something at the hotel and returned 3 days later. Continential (i.e., European) breakfast a bit pricey, but that seems the going rate wherever I went. Lots of one-way direction in the area so access was challenging, street parking available - but you may need to go around the block a couple of times.
In short, I would return.

Good stay. The staff spoke English which made it easier, and were lovely. The hotel is a little older and the bathroom was smaller than most. It was perfect walking distance to all things to see in Rouen, though!

We found this hotel very satisfactory. We could walk to some many interesting sites from the hotel. The staff was very helpful.

Hotel location good, near sites etc. Rooms small and rather shabby.

I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2013 and booked this hotel based on the location and the price. The location was great, but for the price the quality was not as good as several other similarly priced hotels I stayed at other cities in Normandy. The main problem was that the hotel had not been upgraded in a very long time, so the original windows, while charming, let in a lot of cold air. The temperature in the bathroom of my room was about 5C because of the cold air coming in around the window. As a result, the whole rest of the room was cold as well, although I quickly closed the bathroom door to try to keep the cold air from the sleeping part. The first night, however, it was so cold that I didn't even dare get undressed to put on pyjamas so I just slept in my clothes, diving immediately under the covers as soon as I got back to the room. The next day a nice cleaning lady told me I could ask downstairs for a space heater, which I did, and which improved things considerably for the next two nights, but of course that doesn't address the underlying problem of the drafty windows. The shower looked ok at first, by European standards, but after I took my first shower I realized why the showerhead had been placed so low on the sliding bar. It was spirting in every direction, so water went out above the glass door and into the main room. Simply replacing the showerhead would fix this too, but the hotel doesn't seem to undergo regular upkeep. The Internet worked well though.

The hotel staff was warm and accommodating. My room was cozy, but had all of the amenities needed. The shower door was broken, and there was no soap, but luckily I had brought my own. Also, it was a great location, close to public transportation, the river and only a 15 minute walk to the train station.
4.6
A fine, inexpensive place with free internet, reasonable private parking garage. The beds were way too soft and lumpy and the breakfast was a little sparse, but these were reasonable tradeoffs for price and location.

This is a perfectly serviceable 2-star hotel that is a great deal. The room was a snug fit for the two of us and our luggage but we were only spending a night; the bathroom and shower are also a little tight. We snagged a parking spot on the curb out in front of the hotel so we had no parking costs. Our room even afforded us a nice view of the Seine! For a short stay in Rouen this hotel is an excellent choice for the budget-minded traveler.
