The rooms are big. Carpets feel and look dirty. Breakfast is really good.

The pros: The location is excellent. There’s free parking. Outside of the building, the main lobby, and website photos all look nice. The front desk staff are okay. There cons: Not sure if the guest services line is the same as the front reception desk, but the person I spoke to about our room having a wet area next to the a/c was rude and told us they had no other availability. But then a front desk person came to the room and said his manager said we had two options: to either put towels on the soaked area, or ask us if wanted an another room. After telling me there was nothing available. We took the new room. The rooms are horrible. The beds and pillows are awful, the carpet is disgusting, there were stains on the bedroom walls, and the bathroom tub is so old it looks dirty. We happened to walk in our room at the same time housekeeping was there so she left, but we only stayed for 15 min. Housekeeping never returned and our room was not cleaned or made up. Oh, and the jacuzzi was out of order.

Staff was wonderful and helpful. Acc was noisy. Breakfast was free and average. Location was great and room was nice.

It was a pleasure staying here with my family. I like how the double queen room was very accommodating for our special needs little one. The staff greeted us with smiling faces. The breakfast was nice, very typical continental breakfast. Only a few minutes away from Avila or Pismo beach. Absolutely would stay here again.

I wanted to share some feedback from our recent stay. Overall, we found the staff to be friendly and professional, which was great. However, we encountered a significant issue: our room faced the highway, and the noise made it difficult for us to sleep. Is there a possibility of assigning quieter rooms in the future? We have another reservation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Stayed two nights. Liked the breakfast buffets. Asked front desk to get refill on conditioner and body lotion. No one from housekeeping ever took care of problem.

I was really surprised that it was so run down for a Hampton. Usually this line of hotels are really nice. I cannot even begin to say all the things that were not on par. Our room was nice layout but the bathroom was so janky it felt dirty and the repair they made were noticeable and not done right. Peeling wallpaper patches everywhere. The wall of my bed had substance of some type . The fold out couch bed clearly had dirty sheets because the make up from the last person was there. When we went to the hot tub it was cold and not heated. The person who checked us into the room was on his phone and clearly couldn’t be bothered with our check in. It was terrible!

Mold everywhere!! I traveled with two small children and instantly found mold as soon as we entered the room. I went back to the front and told them what I saw and they told me they would get me a new room and that the reason they had mold was because the hotel was old and it was undergoing renovations. Also said he would calling cleaning, but you can’t clean mold sir. Thats a huge hazard and I couldn’t believe the amount I saw. They switched me and upon entering the new room we were greeted with staples sticking out of the box spring. At this point I went back and just asked for a refund as this hotel couldn’t accommodate us. Dirty, mold, dusty, poor customer service, needs help. DO NOT TRAVEL HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH MOLD*****

Although it was quiet and not too far from the beach I feel it could’ve been a lot cleaner

Nice up to the final night. Management could not solve the problem of loud guests. this began at 11pm and continued till around 2am. Multiple attempts to notify staff, did not solve the problem. I've stayed here in the past and enjoyed it, but the staff needs to have measures in place for these types of problems.

There were clearly people in the pool area who were not guests of the hotel. My recommendation is staff members being more visible in the pool area to prevent parties from taking place from non hotel guests.

Nice staff but room is not clean enough

The breakfast is awesome the only concern is I saw there are guests bringing dogs and it’s the same floor we stayed on we are not asking them but I am concern there is no separation between dog free and friendly room. Overall is good not the best.

We requested a ground floor room due to claustrophobia in elevators, however we were told at the front desk. The only room available was on the third floor. Unable to find accommodations elsewhere in short notice, we did what we had to do in order to have a place to stay while visiting.

1. We were not informed we had to request that our room be cleaned the next day. Tuesday we scheduled cleaning, we received clean towels but the floor wasn't vacuumed. 2. We requested for a tech to adjust the the TV because it was to dark a service man came and couldn't fix it and said they wound send a tech. We check with front desk and said the tech did not show up. We had to close the drapes to watch the tv.

The condition condition of the room. The towels will raggedy not even once anymore the more dark and white the shower look like it was dirty. I was not happy with the service

i didn’t like the room much right when I walked in. they left a dirty white towel on the dresser. the bathroom sink wasn’t working. the plug from the sink was pulled apart so when i turned on the faucet the water the sink was completely clogged it just kept filling up. I tried To call the front desk, but the phone was not working so I had to walk downstairs. I asked to exchange to a different room, when we got into the second room, the telephone wasn’t working in that room And you couldn’t even read anything on the phone because the buttons were gone. so at this point i didn’t since I was going to be leaving the next day. other then that the staff was nice. it just surprised me because I stay in one of the Hampton Inn in pensacola Florida and it wasn’t bad at all, but this one was not the greatest at all so it definitely was a bummer.

The floor was soaked by the AC unit & the lights above the bar were burnt out. The hallways smelled.

We had a very comfortable stay.

Stayed day before moving son out of Cal Poly SLO dorm for years end. Close enough to SLO. Right off freeway. Clean and convenient. Rates in San Luis Obispo get jacked up out rooms get booked certain parts of year, so this was good alternative. Short drive to campus. One odd mention is lobby is on the 3rd floor because of the hillside location.
