The Beachside Motel is one of my favorite places to stay in Fernandina Beach, only problem is… they STAY booked up! That’s how great this place is. Family owned, no frills, on the beach. Located directly across from The Surf restaurant. Rooms are always clean, well equipped with everything you need. Owners go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and have what you need. Location is excellent. Only a few miles from downtown. If you’re looking for an affordable, clean, comfy place on the beach. This is it! But don’t wait to long to make your reservations!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were freshly remodeled and very clean. Short walk to the beach. Very quite at night. I would definitely recommend.

A very comfortable room and scenic setting. We loved the beach access. The room was very clean and we appreciated the room cleaning and fresh towels daily. Will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are always clean, the staff is always friendly. Great price for being on the beach. Far enough down that it’s not crowded. Our go to place when we want a short weekend get away !

I liked the location I liked the easy access to the beach. The restaurant across the street was and had very good food. Roast chicken was very good as was the pretzel. The room itself was very musty smelling and the bedsheets felt damp. The carpet was terrible felt gross under my feet to the point where I had a towel near the bed so I could wipe them off before I got n. The bed itself was comfortable pillows were just ok. The dampness and musty smell was just awful and I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. It has great potential it’s just in desperate need of a renovation. Staff was great very friendly

It was a great place to stay for the price! We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed being on the beach. Only update would be to add thick mattress pads to the beds and a bigger Tv. Overall it was perfect for what we needed.

Really enjoyed this little motel,, it was an old school mom and pops local venue that was clean and compfy,, and staff was wonderful,, beautiful sunrise!!

My daughter and I went on a mini vacay before she started back to college. We really enjoyed our stay. Do not let the dated structure interfere with your decision. The accommodations were great for us. The staff was top notch.

My wife and I spent a night on our way south to Central Florida. We are glad e did as this is a charming Motel right on the beach with excellent service, recently enovatd and bursting with charm.

The only bad thing I can really say, and it’s such a huge thing is that the mattresses in our room were absolutely horrible. I woke up with a backache everyday!!! It affects your whole day if you sleep bad and are in pain. The pool was great, the location great, but the mattresses in room 23 were just miserably bad.

The hotel is adorable. Love the beach access! My only complaint is the air only turns down to 67(major hot flashes) so it feels hotter than that. The tv remote only turns the tv halfway up. Can’t get coffee until 8 am kind of rough when you are up at 5 to go watch sunrise.

The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating . They had snacks from 8 am until 11 am. Showers were located outside after walking back from the beach to rinse the sand away. We loved the coziness in size of the hotel
Making it feel welcoming. The hotel was very clean and the pool was great. It was very peaceful as well. The hotel was located in the most convenient location central to restaurants and the beach. They had a little habitat outside in the dunes to see the turtles, rabbits, birds, lizards, etc. Great experience.

We were looking for a cute place with beach access. This was perfect. The room was clean and cool. The mattress was very comfortable. The tv had lots of stations. Loved being able to walk right out to the beach. I’d stay here again!

We have stayed here before…easily accessible, not a large hotel/motel, staff very friendly and efficient…our only suggestion would be to add personal safes in rooms…highly recommend and will stay again…

Perfect family setting, clean rooms, safe surroundings. Right on the beach. Highly recommend calling a local chair and umbrella rental company and they’ll come set it up at the beach and pick it up.

Great motel with better amenities than motels of yesteryears! Path to the beach was fabulous and pool on property was convenient to cool off! Friendly staff as well! Great area!!

a classic roadside no frills "Americana" motel on the beach.restaurant across the street- and any other shopping or dining you would expect in a beach town within a mile. Very clean and less than a minute walk to the beach! Perfect for our last minute, budget, beach getaway! We will be back!
