What a perfect place to stay, what a great service, what a helpful friendly people.

Really nice stay. The hosts/staff were all so nice and welcoming, and gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the local area. Bed was comfy. The chocolate Labrador was lovely and played fetch until he couldn’t any more. Breakfast was nice too. All round very happy, thanks!

Really lovely stay for a wedding in the area, everyone was very friendly and breakfast was great. The bathroom was beautiful and lots of tea and coffee supplies provided. One star taken off for creaky bed otherwise perfect.

The host was very nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had visited Wells and were going on to Stourhead the next day, and so the property was in a very convenient location.

Had to wait 30 minutes for breakfast after telling them we need to have breakfast at 08:00 to get out for an event.

The place is very lovely, but even more is the wonderful hospitality we recieved from Jos at the place ! The place is very clean, lovely hot shower, exceptional breakfast. it's a MUST place to go to for and very enjoyable stay !!

Selected from reviews but was not really right for us. Extra charge £10 for arrival after 8pm (Friday night) Extra £20 for small dog for one night. I’m sure this will be great for some but we live in the sticks so farm charm not really an appeal (less road noise and more dog friendly where we are from) Awful nights sleep due to lumpy beds and roasting hot room, only one small window to get air in, sadly not for us.

Lovely rural location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with locally produced eggs,bacon and sausages. Dylan the dog is gorgeous

Very warm welcome by Joss who was delightful throughout and very accommodating. Comfortable bed in pretty and spacious room. We didn't spend much time at the hotel but it was so peaceful with tended gardens and great views. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Located a short drive (or about an hour's walk - I did it) from Frome, and 30mins from Bath, it is the place for a chillout, and a quick hop to a city too. The room was clean, and warm, and had the amenities as described, though bring your own shower gel. The breakfast is to die for. You have to go for the porridge when you're there at least once! You'll be spoilt for choice with a plethora of books and dvds if you choose to stay in your room for hours. Lovely staff happy to help with anything. Definitely The Place to Stay!

We stayed here for the Frome Independent Christmas market. It was fantastic because we were for couples and could all stay together. Joss couldn’t have been more accommodating

Business trip so one night only. Extremely friendly welcome and the layout and breakfast options explained. No dinner available but Joss ( owner) had booked us into the pud in the village. Room very comfortable and cosy.

We would thoroughly recommend The Place To Stay to anyone looking for somewhere special to stay. Lovely room, friendly and accommodating host and great breakfasts.

The location is great for Longleat and the family suite meant we could stay comfortably with 2x teenage boys and not be on top of each other. Parking is ample and feels secure. The welcome from the staff was great & they do a great job with cleaning and breakfast. The room itself could do with a bit of an update - curtains are a bit flimsy, the master bed is uncomfortable - one side slopes badly and it's very, very soft. The noise from the bathroom fan also disturbs those in the kids room. A few things were missed with the booking eg: the put up bed for the larger teen and the pub booking. But, overall this place is good value, it's well positioned for Longleat, the pub (we squeezed in) just a short walk away and serves great food & the staff here are welcoming and obliging.

A nice traditional Inn in a quiet area. Overall good but the down side for us was the lack of AC in heatwave therefore uncomfortable to stay in the room. No fridge in the room either to keep drinks cold.

It was a delightful place to stay. Owner incredibly friendly and helpful. Bed superbly comfortable. So relaxing Sensible Covid restrictions in place. Loved all the farm animals around. Will be back.
