Things I didn't like. 1 Air-conditioner sounds like a turbine starting up 2 Would have been nice to have a micro-wave oven to reheat some cold food but that is no biggy.

Check in fine but our room no hot water in the shower room 112 the phone didn’t work so my husband went to the office changed rooms at 5pm, the beds need to be replaced all soft and lumpy but the bottles of water and chips and chocolate bar complimentary was a nice touch good location to the Bradford hotel behind for us as that is where our party was

The bed was uncomfortable, pillows flat, air conditioner slats were loose and when turned on made annoying noise, no additional security on sliding door and as a solo traveller I felt very unsafe because of this, bathroom floor felt sticky, no smart tv and black and brown scuff marks on the white walls. Only nice thing I can say about this place was that the reception were able to accomodate my late check in.

We were put in a room that was down a dark hallway and the room Smelt. We did get moved however the outside area was overgrown and they need to upkeep this property. We also booked this to have a swim and after check in we saw the pool was locked. Not impressed.

I loved the place. We did a late checkin and they left our keys for us to get when we arrive. The place was very clean and neat, loved it. Even had welcome snacks for us. Its very close to a restaurant which closes at 1am , this was a plus for us cause we definitely needed food when we got there and the restaurant is very affordable eith very nice food. I will definitely come back here.

Great hotel in a convenient location to the wedding we were attending. The walls are a little thin so if the people in the room next door are chatty (we had a room with an interconnecting door) you hear everything, even if they’re only talking at a regular volume. Unfortunately on one night of our stay our neighbours were talking (and more) much louder than regular volume so it was difficult to sleep until they stopped at about 2am. However the second night of our stay was perfect with no noisey neighbours. Just luck I guess. The staff were lovely allowing late check in and the room was perfectly adequate for a home base for a weekend wedding.

Clean room, property has lots of options for takeaway food and right next door to the Bradford Hotel. Swimming pool was a bonus.

Very expensive. We paid $400 a night! It was an average motel! City prices, we won’t do that again.

Found dead insects/ cockroaches in the room.

Property was lovely, clean and tidy. Loved having the Bradford Hotel next door to go for great meals. Very happy with everything.

Room was cozy, modern and spacious, more than enough space for two adults and two children. Back wall of the room was all glass opening the view of a little nice patio. There is a mini fridge, a microwave snd a kettle in the room and complimentary water and snacks on arrival. Plenty of parking outside and a lot of shopping options. We did experience some shortage of staff the second day of our stay and also wi-fi signal was very weak.

Bed was very comfortable. Had trouble with very slow WIFI. Spa bath jets were very weak so didn’t really do anything. To supply a fridge and microwave in the room but no knifes & forks or plates was a bit disappointing. Outside pool looked nice but due to the wind the umbrellas could not be put up so there was no shade. Very convenient and local to home.

My wife and I's stay at Hunter Gateway was overall quite good. The location to where we needed to access our goals was excellent. The room was sufficient for our needs and comfortable. The only dissapointments were: 1 The internet was just about non exsistant, at one point I was only getting .14 of one megabyte and emails just would not load. 2 We wanted a room for two people but there was only one lounge chair in the room and an office style chair which I had to use to watch tv etc. Likewise on the patio we were supplied with one plastic chair and a table. We were told they were having problems with the internet and work was in progress to fix it. Maybe I am super critical but my wife and I have spent a lot of time in motels throughout Australia and Europe so maybe we expect a lot. Overall our stay was really good and we would like to try another visit.

Did not appreciate refusal of a bottle of water when requested for following a couple of nights' stay through the 3-night booking citing I get what I paid for....
