The location was quiet, nice and very easy to walk anywhere I needed to. Francisco makes the best breakfast every morning and so hospitable! I enjoyed my time and will be back!

The hotel is so small, old, dirty, has no front desk service 24 hours. Bad conditions rooms.

Breakfast is very expensive here. The room I had was very bright so night since every time someone walked by it triggered a light and there were two windows from the hall into my room

2 friends and I stayed at this hotel while we visited Colombia (April 2018). We wanted a local feel because we were there to soak in the culture (I was there to brush up on my Spanish). The location is great, its hidden away but still very close to a huge mall and metro station. The staff is incredible!!! Everybody was very nice and helped us find tours, restaurants, or anything else we needed while we were there. The hotel was clean and very safe. We traveled via metro or walking from one side of Medellin to the other and we did not feel unsafe anywhere. To my surprise, very little English is spoken in Medellin, so this was perfect for me, however, if you dont speak at least basic Spanish, you may have a hard time. I recommend this hotel and Medellin if you are looking to experience real culture.

The place is locked and you have to wait for somebody to open the door and if that person is busy, you my have to wait a long time. The rooms seem to be former closets and you can barely move in there without running into something. There is a hostel next door and they are very noisy. When we arrived, the clerk told us that there was a mandatory "insurance" fee; insurance is optional and it is illegal to say that it is mandatory. After warning her that I would call the Colombian Tourism office, she said, "don't worry about it". The hot water does not work. You only get bursts of barely warm water, if lucky. Wi-fi does not work in any of the rooms, you have to be close to the reception desk.
If you have a car, it is very hard to park and you have to wait on a buys street for them to open a gate.
Other than the first reception clerk, the rest of the staff was very nice.

The service was great! Very helpful in how to get around town, breakfast was tasty, overall good experience! Location is good and safe; close to Santa Fe Mall and a short taxi ride to the metro station. The room was very spacious, and the design and decoration of the hotel had a very local feel; however one of the windows was not completely sealed off so we had a friendly lizard pop in for a second through that crack (it left shortly after through the hole it came in). Would consider staying here again.

My girlfriend and I both young widows spent four nights in this wonder Inn. Our favorite part of it was our Hostess Erainie (sic). She made us feel at home and gave of total reign of the place. If you want to feel at home when traveling, this is the place to stay.

Nice staff, but exclusively Spanish speaking. Used the room for a gay date. The empolyees were discreet and tolerant. They are also quite flexible regarding the breakfast hours. The WiFi was quite weak in my room. The style of the hotel with the old photographies and interior are suiting its name quite well.

They charge an insurance fee at the end of your stay!! Sounds like if something happens to you they won't do anything to solve it because you did not pay for the insurance at the very beginning. Also, this insurance seems like a hidden fee.
Please variety for breakfast!! The hotel is a nice old house in a nice area.

This hotel is located very close to 2 large shopping centers, the metro station & other public transportation - there is no worry for lack of dining options because of this. There is a 5 star hotel across the road from this place! So it is definitely in a desirable location. The house is beautifully decorated, the staff does not speak any English but is extremely helpful. I bought local fruit & asked them to juice it for me during breakfast, which they gladly did.
There were a couple of ants in my room but other than that, it was quiet & affordable. I would definitely come back to this hotel during my next trip to Medellin.
