This place has a lot of potential but the facilities and rooms needs TLC and some maintenance to make a whole lot better. Over all I liked it.

The access to the beach was so close and convenient. What a great experience to be right on the beach.

We were here for a quick overnight getaway but we were only disappointed that we couldn't stay longer. What a beautiful little gem. It was like walking back in time to classic old Florida. The room was perfect for the two of us. The private beach and pool were refreshing and peaceful. We grabbed some things from Target (which was located right down the road) and just chilled. Exactly what we were looking for. We most definitely be back!!!!!

The visitors has to learn to respect the rules like don't go to the pool with your dogs or stay talking im the pool after midnight.

The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and gave us an early entry and encouraged a late stay. The grounds are nicely maintained with beautiful access to the beach, the rooms were not clean and they were very antiquated , in need of renovations. The room needed a good cleaning,especially the floors. The couch in the living room was disgusting and we couldn't even sit on it.The beds were clean and comfortable, surprisingly so.

We had the hotel's oceanside room. The view was amazing, especially at sunrise, but the room was beyond dinghy and had a strong urine smell in the bedroom and bathroom. The online pictures were absolutely not what the actual room was. The walls were in desperate need of paint. The bedroom ceiling had a 4 sqft area from a previous leak that had been hastily covered over. The bedroom TV was not hooked up to cable service so it didn't work. The windows were moldy, dirty, and cracked along the sill. The door handle and lock on the door were loose. The kitchen did not have a dishwasher and there was a sign stating that kitchen items had not been sanitized. The bed was comfortable but the urine smell was so strong, it was hard to believe the bedding was safe to sleep in. The toilet rocked when you sat on it and was so tight in the bathroom that it was nearly impossible to close the door. We went to the manager within an hour of checking in but since it was Memorial Day weekend, we were stuck with the room for the night. I called Hotels.com soon after I spoke with the manager to request a refund for the second night. We would not stay at the Breakers ever again. While the beach was awesome, the room experience killed that. Such a waste of vacation time driving there. Oddly, all the recent reviews were 10/10 and cleanliness was even listed. Clearly, we did not have their room. I'd have gladly given up the oceanside room for a 10/10 experience.

I love how convenient it was to the beach. The place was nice just needed to update a few things inside like paint touch up and add TV in bedrooms. A better WiFi connection. But made the best of it and enjoyed the experience.

Chose this property based on reviews saying how clean the rooms are. I was expecting a dated property with no amenities such as restaurant/bar but was expecting it to be clean and not in need of repairs and maintenance. Floors seeping adhesive when walking on throughout the unit, had to constantly wipe up green adhesive on the floors because they were not properly installed. Floors left our feet so black we ended up buying cleaning products to clean. Walls and tiles cracked everywhere, furniture was so dirty I had to put sheets over it so we could sit on it. Found packages of condoms under one of the beds. The only good thing about it was the location directly on the beach. Asked for a 1 hour later checkout and was given attitude by Crystal in office. Woman who checked us in was nice and pleasant but Crystal mumbled under her breath while conversing with us. Was not expecting the Ritz but expected a clean place. Reminded me of the beach dumps we used to stay in back in the 1970s.

It was a good stay.

Great service and right on the beach

Place is a beach front gem, tucked away from city life. Very quiet, laid back place fit for a family quick get away. Close access to restaurants and shopping areas. Staff are accommodating. Place does need to be updated.

We love to stay at the Breakers on the Ocean, because it’s so closed to everything but the best part we can just walk in the ocean right from our room!

It has a nice spot on the beach and the property was better than I expected for the price. It was occupied by older clientele, lots of families. The staff was courteous, the pool was clean, and the beach umbrellas plentiful. Will keep this in mind for future vacations.

This is indeed an older property that has immense character. If you are looking for shiny and new, this isn’t your place. However, if you are looking for extremely clean and comfortable, steps from the beach, and convenient to everything in Delray Beach, this is certainly your place. From the warm welcome given us by Crystal in the office to the crisp white sheets on the bed to the free beach chairs and towels, I enjoyed everything about my stay and would most definitely stay here again!

It is an old style property and very comfortable and easy to negotiate. On the beach and everyone is friendly.

Its atmosphere was very welcoming and we loved the ability to walk out of our room and to the beach in a matter of steps. The pool was very clean and comfortable

We liked the new pool, beach, amenities like comfortable king bed, lots of charging outlets in lamp bases, cleanliness, friendly staff, loved the front patio and seating, coffee, light breakfast, bottled water, pool towels, shampoo etc, so what if updates needed here and there.. part of the charm.Will return!

DelRay Breakers was a mixed bag and a three star overall rating seems fair. On the plus side, our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable king-sized bed. Housekeeping was excellent and the staff was friendly and approachable. And the proximity to the beach was really nice. On the minus side, the property is badly need of renovation - caulking, painting, re-tiling in the bathroom. The continental breakfast was mostly packaged muffins and bagels. We expected a little more for the price. And we had no hot water for half our stay. We let the office know about that Friday morning. I’d think that would be an urgent thing but it wasn’t fixed until mid-morning on Saturday. It wasn’t the worst place but we’re unlikely to return.

Great place to stay! Right on the best beach in florida, already planning our next trip down on the drive home.
