I had a great time here and felt like I was at home not in a hotel. It had everything I needed and was close to the beach. They were so friendly and happy to help me find my way around the area. Breakfast was amazing too, so many options. All for a much better price than staying in central Newcastle which is easily reached by the metro a short walk down the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay but 5 mins to Metro station right by the coast had a nice morning walk along the coastal path.
Clean friendly and just what i wanted again.
Good breakfast in the morning set me up for the day.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Metropolitan. We were warmly welcomed, the accommodation was fantastic and the breakfast was superb. The guest house is in a great location, convenient for the bars and restaurants, and close to the sea.

Had a excellent couple of days at the Metropolitan. Clean, cosy and breakfast was amazing. Lee and Paul were wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing place to stay, rooms are immaculate, central to everything yet still very quiet and peaceful. Most comfortable beds ever! Hosts were great, couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely return.

Superb little B and B, 2 minute walk to the beach. Very friendly, attention to detail, very clean and superb breakfast. Will definitely stay again if in the area again and will definitely recommend to friends

I couldn't have asked for anything more from my stay. Great location, close to the seafront and many lovely restaurants.
The room itself was beautifully furnished and immaculate. The little extras in the room, such as: bottled water, and cotton wool pads and cotton buds in the bathroom, showed the thought had been put into a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The owners from start to finish were lovely, very helpful, friendly and welcoming......and just when I thought it couldn't get better, morning came and so did breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! All freshly cooked and very tasty, with plenty of variety.
10/10 from me, I would definitely stay here again.

My sisters and I stayed in a family room.The room and the bathroom were immaculate and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us.Paul and Lee were great hosts and I would recommend the lovely breakfast.

Very enjoyable stay in a very comfortable and clean room. Stylishly decorated too! Hosts Paul and Lee were very helpful with ideas of places to see and do. Will definitely book again if i'm in the area. Highly recommend the Metropolitan.

The hotel is in a good location (near to the sea front and town centre). My single room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The owner was friendly and helpful (particularly with advising me where I could park, as there were no free spaces available outside the hotel or on the street when I arrived).

Excellent location in the heart of Whitley Bay. The proprietors were very welcoming and friendly. A comfortable night's stay and hearty breakfast.

Very easy to get to from the metro station only a 5 minute walk if that. Clean property with nice owner's would definitely use again.
