Good value for money, excellent location. Friendly staff. Needs updating. Problems with showers drying up on pne of our rooms on the top floor

Convenient and comfortable

Very nice property, bi-lingual and friendly staff and convenient to Lille Europe train station.

I cannot fault the property itself. The area can be noisy at night .

The room was ok bathroom was a bit dated but bed was comfortable reception was very good. Location was also very good near to train stations. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel.

After staying at some awful hostels, I was pleasantly surprised to find that CALM exceeded my expectations. This is very close to the bus/train station so no trouble getting to and from the hostel. Check-in was also very friendly, accommodating, and a pleasant experience. The front desk staff are of course French, but speak English as well. I know a little French, but the staff were able to communicate to me in both languages effectively and kindly, which meant a lot since I was traveling alone. The bedspace itself (I was in the all girls suite) was quite nice and offered a lot of privacy and access to ports for charging. I also had access to a spacious, provided locker. The bathroom and kitchen area were always clean, and there was a very young vibe to the place which I loved. Lille is generally a safe city, which is great since I was traveling alone. That being said, the location is near some 'not-nice' locations and can be poorly lit at night. If you are a woman traveling alone (as I was), I would recommend to be aware and vigilant as always. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the first time that my daughter stays at a Hostel, it was a great experience. The staff is very kind and all rules are clear and followed by other people. Place is located walking distance to one of the busiest train and metro stations, place quiet and clean.

Very clean and comfortable, lots of space to stow luggage. A separate dining table and office desk very handy. The kitchenette comes with 2x cermaic hob, a small fridge, kitchen sink and microwave. Basic utentils and dining ware. No knives nor chopping board - a disappointment The bathroom is a bit utilitarian compared to the room. Reception extremely helpful Location very good - right next to Westfield and 5 mins' walk from the main square

Getting to the hotel was a headache because of the roadworks everywhere and getting to the underground parking was an adventure but the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean but getting a bit tired. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

It was near the train station and a lot of dining areas.

Close to rail stations.restos.cafes, shopping.dont expect the Ritz but very clean.homey.friendly.and location.cant be best.I.eould certainly go.back

Dirty floor, broken head shower, shower door damaged and hard to close.

The staff could not have been more helpful in allowing us to leave luggage stored both before check-in and after check-out. They were also helpful with directions and suggestions.

Comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep but the hotel is on the edge of a dirty area. Received abuse from some people on the street at the side of the hotel who repeated this when we returned to the hotel so later on approached it the long way around as felt slightly intimidated.Also checking in no parking available and quite tortuous finfing a car park overnight.

Calm appart hotel was clean and modern. The location is super central and within walking distance to most shops and restaurants. Would be nice if they had firmer pillows. I would stay here again when I return!
