The building has seen better days. The room was cold the entire stay and the bathroom was very draft.

We had a great stay at the Charles for our anniversary. The restaurant Hob Nob was fantastic. Great food and great service.

A beautiful, quaint hotel in a lovely area. The food was fantastic! Our evening meal was delicious and served in a relaxed but beautiful dining room. All the staff were extremely helpful but Alicia and Amy made our stay extra special with their conversation and friendliness. Our room was very clean with all amenities but next time we would book a bigger room. We would definitely recommend The Charles Hotel. 5 mins walk into town, free parking and amazing staff!!!

Amazing place to stay. The staff are so friendly, good is delicious, and the setting is so peaceful. Perfect place to walk, curl up with a book on the porch or front patio, and enjoy the beauty of this historic building and lovely grounds.

I had requested a first floor room a few weeks before my stay because I have trouble climbing stairs but I was told only 2nd floor available and no elevator. The staff did help me bring my bags up and then back down at check out. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Charles Hotel was an absolutely delight during our 3 day stay. The hotel is full of charm, history, architecture delight and simply gorgeous - plus you could not be better located to everything to walk too. The staff, from Housekeeping, Front Desk to Servers were always so kind and helpful and the food in the Dining Room and Bar was so good it was hard not to venture out and go eat anywhere else. Thank you everyone at The Charles Hotel for giving us a memorable stay.

A very nice old hotel with a nice lounge close to the town and theatre. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The price point for the area is very acceptable. If you like golf, there is great course right next door. Might take our clubs next time.

We had a delightful stay at The Charles Hotel! This historic property has been updated to have modern amenities while still maintaining its charm. While close to the shopping and entertainment district (two blocks), it was just far enough away to be quiet and calm. Each member of the staff was friendly and welcoming - even the restaurant manager welcomed us while we were waiting for the hotel desk attendant to return. Overall, it was a wonderful visit.

Absolutely loved our Stay at the Charles Hotel. The staff were so incredible and accommodating, they made us feel so at home. The hotel is beautiful and historic and our best meals were at the Hob Nob restaurant, right in the hotel! They have a beautiful patio and terrace where you can eat your meals. Highly recommend staying here and can't wait to visit again!
