The fixtures in the bathroom were rusty, the was a large spider in the shower that looked like it had been there a long time, and the furniture was beat up. I paid a lot of money for one star facilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stony Brook, and we look forward to coming back sometime. Beautiful area, very scenic, close to hiking and mountains we enjoy. Well maintained property, loved the stream going by the motel! Pool very clean and nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Price was very fair! Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a scenic, quiet, rustic getaway in beautiful NH.

Creepy, old motel. No microwave in the room. Breakfast was muffins. Worked for one night but would not plan a vacation there.

Property is very outdated. Looks beautiful from the outside, but the rooms are very, very small with overused furniture. If you’re only staying one night, it’s OK, but I wouldn’t stay there more than one night.

My wife suffers from poor health and it has been a long time since we went away. The staff was over the top friendly and helpful and if we go to Franconia again this is where we will stay.

Nice, clean, quiet, no frills, motel. Has an indoor pool, continental breakfast, and friendly staff. The views were spectacular. We are an active outdoorsy couple so all we needed was a clean room and a comfortable bed and they far exceeded that.

We were greeted warmly by one of the owners in this family run motel. They are new owners who have big plans for this very well located establishment. Our room was very clean and comfortable and suited our needs. Highly recommend.

For somewhere to lay your head for the night it's okay but it is very basic. The decor has not been updated in a while. Beds were okay - a little lumpy. Bathroom was rustic but clean. The lodge had a pool table. We were disappointed that the pool was closed but it didn't impact our stay. The AC works but was noisy in the second room. Breakfast was basic but it gave us something to eat to begin the day and find a place for lunch. Owners were very courteous.

The front desk staff was very earnest and willing to help. Fantastic location if you are looking to hike Franconia ridge and are looking to get an early start. Less then a 10 minute drive to old bridal path parking lot. Rooms are small but have a small fridge, excellent air conditioning system and desk and WiFi that easily supported telework. Can’t beat the accommodations with their location and price.
