Location was amazing! The view from the room and the pool were great. The ladies that worked front desk were very nice and welcoming. The rooms could have been cleaner and the beds could have been more comfortable but overall would gladly stay again!

Older place with lots of character. If you want boujee this isnt the place to go. If you want a cheaper place with beautiful grounds and views, this place checks the boxes. Close to town so you can walk to shops and good food choices. Would definitely stay again.

First this place is Not a hotel. It’s a Motel. This whole place should be condemned. It’s sooo outdated. Dirty, old, smells like pot inside and surrounding building. Rooms are sooo small it’s ridiculous. AC sucks that it takes all night just to get it cool. Beds squeak. Only some outlets work. After all this we only stayed 1 night. My advice pay the extra money to stay somewhere else. Your regret it if you don’t. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The pictures looked amazing it was our last night on Kaui we wanted to stay close to the airport we had an early flight. My wife has allergies with in Ten minutes she was coughing and sneezing.The hotel was old the room had a musty smell. We arrived at the hotel about 8:30 pm told the clerk we couldn’t stay here he said he would have to talk to the manager. They are charging my card I am disputing it.The pictures were probably twenty years old.

This classic small hotel was last renovated in 2006, and it’s still in good condition. It has a comfortable home-like feel without feeling rundown. It’s why I like Kaua’i, it feels more authentic, smaller and local. When I checked in they told me that my room had a plumbing issue and that it was unavailable. When they didn’t have a room to accommodate my daughter and me, they gave us 2 rooms next to each other at no extra cost. It was my daughter’s 15th birthday, so she was over the moon about that. They also have great beach chairs to borrow and some vintage bikes to ride the path on the beach. The location is great, the beach behind the building is small but nice and there are plenty of places within walking distance to eat and shop. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed and the walls even seemed well soundproofed.

Stains on the walls and carpet, holes in the walls, the toilet ran all night long, air conditioner malfunctions, baby roaches in the bathroom at night. There were some updates to the rooms but in general they don't seem to care much about esthetics. The only saving grace was that some of the employees were very kind and welcoming.

I don’t really want to do this but someone needs to say something. I loved our room however the landscape on the way to the room was very crappy. There was a little dead bird laying near the entrance walkway and it stayed there our whole stay! No one came to pick him up or anything and he started to smell. The room was ok. I love d that we were footsteps to the beach. It was so nice we could use a cooler and borrow a bicycle. I loved that part! The bed was not comfortable I woke up with a sore back and I had to perform. I can tell this little place is as run down…but they need more work!

From the Ocean looking at the resort and pool area you would think that it is very nice. The grounds are nice and the location on the water is a plus. The issue is that the rooms are very old and have issues. The carpets were very stained and wasnt great to walk around on. The beds arent in great shape and the overall feel inside was not good. The balcony had cigarette buds everywhere. The chairs were old and the railings rusted. The staff was friendly.

It was a cheaper last minute booking, the front desk clerk was very nice and the pool was great. The room was one of the dirtiest rooms I have ever been in and was in need of updates.

This hotel is on the beach! There's a paved pathway that goes for a mile and a half along the ocean and it's about 20 steps from the back of the hotel. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Loved my stay here and for sure recommend this place......Mahalo Hotel Coral Reef!

My first night we were on parking lot side, didn’t like it but we came in late check in due to aircraft delays. Checked with stay and they moved us to Beach side. That room was great. It was large and had new furniture. The staff was great and friendly. If I come back I would definitely stay here again.

Terrible chemical smell in room!!!!!!

Beds were clean but the bathroom need work. There was mold in tthe tub and the air smelled of mold as well. So much so we didn't feel it was safe to stay there. We left before staying even one night. We killed about 5 mosquitoes in the first 10 minutes in the room. There was a huge crack under the door. Like the seal didn't exist. We felt like there would a bunch of giant american cockroaches crawling in every night while we slept. No day to day housekeeping. Now for the good. Lots of free amenities and a massage service on the property. Beautiful beach right out back and decent pool.

The pool was nice and cool

Our shower just trickled water, our toilet broke, the floor was filthy, we could hear people next door and the entire place needs updating.

Needs a lamp with charging ports. Beds needs to be more comfortable. Better if rooms could be entered with an electric key, not a code.

Gorgeous property, perfect location right in the heart of Kapa’a. Easy walk to get breakfast, and less than an hour drive to the north or south shore. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, loved spending time on the lanai listening to the waves. I will definitely be booking the next time I am on the island!

I stayed in an oceanfront downstairs unit and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Every morning i would open the slider doors, sit in the recliner chair and have breakfast and enjoy the ocean view and sound. The staff provided beach towels, beach chair and even a cooler which i could use for lunches. Will definitely stay again!

We only stayed for one night and checked out very early morning to catch our flight, but the hotel was great during out short stay. Very welcoming staff - this a family owned business and very hospitable. Beautiful grounds directly across from the ocean. Rooms were spacious and had everything we needed.
