Charming

My husband and I agree that the best thing about our stay here was the incredible breakfast each morning. We really wanted to love the bed and breakfast atmosphere. The blinds didn’t go fully down and we reported it to the desk who said yes that they did and did not check. The next day we told a different lady and she immediately came up and went over and above putting blankets in the spaces around the windows. The bed was not comfortable and the air conditioner would come off and on loudly throughout the night. The room was hot when we checked in so we had to run it the first night but opened the window the next night. You could hear the traffic and neighbors but at least it did not jolt you awake. We sadly would not recommend staying here.

Will not book there again, the only good thing was the breakfast they serve The property is old. Lot of unwanted furniture in the room, could have been repkaced with more usefull items ile small fridge, microwave etc. Very expensive stay for the facilities they have

Attractive and beautifully decorated inn with sweet inn keepers who provide a delicious and unique breakfast for every guest. An easy and pretty walk to downtown. Construction outside the property during business hours during our stay was unfortunate but when completed the full beauty of this inn will be restored.

The price was too high for the room. It was 2 star quality at best. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beyond that, its not a place we would come back to.

It’s not the hotels fault but there was road construction that would shake the place. Other than that the inside of the hotel is very quiet and calm. Very sweet and elegant. A cozy place and area to catch up on a book while sipping on tea or coffee.

The Inn was delightful. The staff was helpful. We couldn't wear our shoes indoors, but had to wear slippers while inside. This kept the floors clean. Breakfasts were outstandingly delicious! Our room was large and comfortable. They even made a special lunch for us when we went on our day trip to the Lakes. While I would not go back to Canmore, I would go back to the wonderful, well maintained Inn. Very private and relaxing.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! We booked two nights stay, it was lovely.very clean, quiet, beautiful breakfast! Our room is not that big but very comfort, personally speaking it’s enough for two people. There are different room options you can choose. I was concerned that share space with other people.but truth is everybody polite and you don’t really have chance to meet with other people. it worth to stay! I like it.

We truly enjoyed staying at the Lady McDonald in on our recent visit to Kenmore. It is a very unique and comfortable place. I highly recommend it to others.

Updated big room-Grotto Mountain with own bathroom. AC worked great. Bed was excellent and seemed new with no sag. Own medium size frig in room was nice. Inn had nice breakfast that had daily: smoothies, nice assortment of teas, OJ, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, milk/cream. Then you got a “starter” that was like a mini quiche or yogurt with granola. Then the main breakfast had small slices of varied fresh fruit, a protein like ham or sausage and either savory or sweet large item that seemed to change each day; one day was an omelet then the next was waffles. Servers brought you your starter and main dish rather than buffet style. Towels/bed linens were clean with no stains. Outside shoes are not allowed inside so bring a house shoe or they have a large assortment of slide-ons you can use. A lot of people would also just wear their socks inside. Some of the rooms appeared to not have their own bathroom,AC, nor private access from outside. Our room did allow pets-I was afraid my room would smell like dog, have fleas, or have pet hair, but it had none of those things. Couldn’t even tell a pet had been in there if one was. Constriction on street in front of inn, but our room was in the back, so it did not bother us. Construction did not start early nor seem to go late or on weekends so this should not be a deterrent to staying here. Parking space reserved for guests was great.

My wife, daughter and I stayed 4 nights in the suite on the main level, two bedrooms and an additional living area. It was well decorated, nice size without the cramped feeling some suites can be associated with, very clean, quiet and the breakfast was great. The common area (inside and on the outside deck) was also very comfortable and clean with an ambience of an earlier era. The staff was friendly, inviting and polite. We highly recommend staying here.

Great stay ! Very clean and much better located in Canmore vs overcrowded Banff. Would go again.

The staff is not available after 7pm. Due to that the check in process becomes difficult. The coffee kept in the dining room for guests was at the room temprature at early morning hours. Again, there was no staff.

We stayed at Lady McDonald for 4 nights during our visit to the Banff area. The facility was as pictured,furnishings and decor were comfortable and clean. Daily breakfast was a great start to our day exploring. Canmore more pleasant and less crowded than Banff, but had a lot to offer.

A wonderful B&B in the heart of downtown Canmore. They served an excellent gourmet breakfast. The room was cozy. Unfortunately the bed was small and very uncomfortable. Local road traffic could be heard throughout the night and we were woken up early to the roar of a train going by.

My stay at The Lady MacDonald Country Inn was exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable. Accommodation was very clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The served breakfast was delicious. I would definitely return to this charming venue.

We stayed three nights and it was wonderful! Clean, quiet, comfortable and each room is so unique! The staff were very courteous, helpful and the breakfast prepared was delicious. I can’t say enough about the Lady MacDonald.

I booked for a late Mother’s Day gift for my mom, we were both blown away. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Rooms were spotless, we got a beautiful mountain view room. Staff is so nice, breakfast was also fantastic. It’s so nice the tea bar is open all the time. You just go make yourself some tea whenever you want. 10/10 would stay again

We enjoyed our stay here overall. Nice room and quiet, but the blinds didn't go down the whole way and for awhile I literally had a bright light on my face during the night. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and the AC was great. Our breakfast was nice. The staff weren't super attentive to us, but were pleasant and an overall positive stay. Location is in a good spot. I would stay again if the price was right.

A very comfortable night's stay with a warm welcome. The room was well presented. Breakfast was excellent. It felt very homely. We would stay again.
