My title pretty much says it all ! If you're looking for a five star resort this isn't it. But if you want a place to rest for the night that's safe, clean and budget friendly this is it ! I'm definitely staying here on my next visit.

I enjoyed staying here. The location is central in Bayahibe which means it's very convenient to everything, though also gets some street noise (e.g., motorcycles) and quite a bit of evening music from nearby buildings, so just be aware of that if you want to go to bed early. (Sundays are especially noisy until late.) I felt safe in the neighborhood and liked the extra safety of the front gate. The owners and other staff are very accommodating and eager to make it a great experience for guests, and the cleaning team works very hard and is quite thorough. The apartments were a bit dated (dark, heavy window dressings and dark paneling) but spacious and comfortable, and it was good to have access to a mini-fridge, silverware, and burners. I initially had a room on the first floor but then moved to the second floor and this was much better--a lot more private, with better breezes and slightly better noise control. There is a very sweet cat that came to visit me frequently, which I loved. The morning fruit and coffee, often with a freshly made cake or muffins, was a great addition. The price seemed very reasonable and I was able to pay by credit card without a giant extra fee, which I very much appreciated.

This was a nice place in a closed gated area. Room was clean and comfy. Had a small balcony. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Can’t see the water from the room but it’s 3 minute walk to the water and restaurants.

Beautiful property, I really loved this place! Very close to town, lovely proprietor, friendly cat, excellent fruit and coffee for breakfast. I loved our veranda, great place to sit in the shade or watch the storm.

Good location, walking distance to the beach. Gated hotel with parking within metres of your room. We upgraded to a one bedroom room which have a kitchen with full size fridge. Four burner counter top for cooking, coffee maker, pots, plates, cups, utencils, etc. Good variety fruit plate and coffee/tea for breakfast. Friendly, helpful hostess, satellite TV with English news channels and very good WIFI. Several small grocery stores close by including one across the street. Jumbo supermarket located in La Romana, about 20-25 minute drive. Bank machine is a 5 minute walk.

The hotel area and room were very clean for Dominican standards. The breakfast was a little bit too small but still very tasty. The receptionist was very nice but unfortunately, not able to speak a single word in English, which is very common in Dominican Republic but still made communication very hard.

The hotel apartment is a short walk from the beach front and restaurant row - an easy stroll. The staff was very friendly, the AC worked well and the kitchen was nice. The only comment we would note is that the taxi driver they chose to call for us (its a very small town, apparently without Uber) was a crook who tried to charge us US$15 for a 2km ride -- we finally settled for $5, but still a very unpleasant encounter. This wasnt specifically the hotels fault, but beware if you ask their assistance in getting a taxi.

The hotel/apartment are simple, clean and nice. Its located in a gated community and made up of three 3-story buildings. It was safe and secure. The staff we had interactions with were helpful and friendly. The place was quiet and relaxing. Its an easy and short walk to many restaurants and the ocean front. The apartment had a living room with a dinning area and a kitchen separate from the bedroom. Everything was very clean. The place surpassed the expectations for an apartment at the price I paid per night. It was a great place and an even better value for my family and I.

We love Dominican Republic so much. We went from staying at Casa De Campo a couple years ago to staying at this comfortable place in Bayahibe. We chose to stay in bayahibe because we wanted to try something different than Casa De Campo. The hotel is beautiful and I like that it is gated. Our 3 year old daughter had the best time playing with the hotel animals. Coffee every morning was excellent. Hot water for showers worked really well!! Minutes walk from the Bayahibe public beach. My husband and I are already planning our next trip with some friends. Thank you, Villa Baya, for taking care of us during our stay! We will be back.

I wanted to let it known that this is a great small hotel for those looking to enjoy and experience Bayahibe from within. A lot of people opt to go to a big resort and enjoy all those amenities, but when it comes to personalized services and feeling like part of the community, this is the best place to stay at. Close to everything in the small little town of Bayahibe, specially the Public Beach and the boats to go to the different islands. Yes, there are unwanted noises (Roosters, church right next door with loud mics/music, loud motorcycles) but this should enhance your experience not worsen it; and it is truly not that bad as some make it sound. This was our second time here and we absolutely love it. The person that takes care of the reception is actually the owner herself, and she is as friendly and pleasing as they come. She is very helpful and can give you advice about where you can go to have dinner and where you can go to enjoy the best part of Bayahibe. IF you are not ready to experience the true Dominican Culture, I would advise you stay in a resort and pay 5 times or more and do what everyone else does, OR you can really have a great time immersing yourself in the Dominican culture.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is on a budget or that just really needs a place to rest and take a shower. Great service with a smile, awesome value, and a a great location. Can't go wrong with that!

It was a comfortable stay in a green spot. The place is surrounded by a locked fence, including the parking area; we appreciated having a secured parking area. The manager is smiling and pleasant. I speak good Spanish; I dont think that the manager speaks much English. I would have preferred having a hotel safe. Our kitchenette was very limited, with no actual cooking facility, just a fridge and a small sink; not sure if other rooms have more of a real kitchen.

We arrived to smiling faces and nice accommodations. The check in process was painless and the area clean secure and nicely decorated. The apartment was stocked with dishes and a few other things. Although we did not use them or the cook top stove while at the apartment, it looked sufficient for basic cooking needs. The bed and the sofa sleeper were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water hot and refreshing. The only negative was not the hotels fault.... It seems that roosters around the area are attempting to set records for earliest to crow and the first one to crow is answered by a dozen more seemingly applauding him for his 3 am attempt to get the sun to rise early... Again, quite enjoyable and comfortable.

Nice little hotel with sympathetic owners. The kitchen sink gave our apartment a bit of a bad smell, the toilet easily clogged, and roosters nearby were making noise. However we slept well and enjoyed the tours and restaurants in Bayahibe.

In our room the AC was very loud but the room and the whole hotel was good. Good location as well. Would recommend it if you just stay for a couple of days.

Easy walk to village centre, you need to study about the area before you arrive as there are no tourist bureaus at the airport. People friendly.

The hotel is lovely and safe. Our room had a double bed (way too small) in a small bedroom with loads of storage. The bathroom is adequate. We had the fan on and would have liked a light weight blanket. None was available. Great breeze when you open the windows. Nice area to sit outside. Roosters...roosters...roosters. Incessant noise. Other than the resorts, I am not sure there are other hotels in better locations with the outdoor space. The courtyard is lovely and there is cold beer in the fridge.
