The room and the bathroom were very spacious. Provided water, towels, toothbrush, comb, soap, shampoo, in-room slippers, coffee, kettle and ref. Location: walking distance to different restaurants, pasalubong shops, tour agencies and motorcycle rentals.Cable TV provided, but not so clear, lines all over were present. WiFi provided, but slow. Good for browsing FB, but not for playing Netflix.Electricity was going on and off at night, but didnt bother me so much. I think this is the case in Palawan. Water - heater was not that strong. It was already in the maximum but cant really feel the hotness of the water in the shower. Housekeeping - not automatic. You have to tell them if you want your room to be cleaned and they will. Staff - they were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. This is what I liked most during my stay.

This hotel is located in a perfect location. The staff was very nice and we were able to check in right when we arrived at 10am which was nice. The rooms are very spacious and the WiFi worked perfectly. Overall a great place to stay in Coron

Coron Gateway was a great choice for island hopping and diving activities in Coron. Though the suites are a little dated and the hotel doesn't have a restaurant on-site, service was friendly and helpful. Location is very close to the pier and local market. Walkable distance to many great restaurants. Suites are very roomy, spacious, modern.

Booked for three days, checked in the first room and it smelled really bad. Moved to another room, same thing! It was late in the day, so we checked out the next day. This hotel has potential if management will just fix the place!

The rest of the story: a cyclone hit the area and all flights and ships were canceled so a sudden and unexpected stay extension became necessary. Coron Gateway Hotel & Suites jacked their prices by more than double even for their long-stay customers, while other area hotels did not. I can understand supply/demand but this was a shameless and outright FU squeeze.Would I stay again: not as a first choice. If nothing else was available I would choose Coron Gateway over a tent. There are other more comfortable options around Coron City.

This hotel was right on the water, which meant that it was perfect if you were doing island hopping! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we found was that the rooms had some stains on the carpet and bed sheets. But that was the only negative really! Would recommend.

Great staff but Uncleaning rooms for the price. I would not recommend it to anyone

Great hotel to stay in if you want to relax and have a quiet location.

The rooms were nothing like the pictures. The whole place needs an overhaul. The rooms had dirty, stained carpet, cracked walls and mold. There were ants crawling along the headboard and on my sons face during a nap. When we informed the staff, they just came in our room and sprayed bug spray on the headboard and pillows. There was no offer to change our room...not that it would have made a difference. We had 3 friends staying and their rooms were just as bad. We left and found another hotel.

It's hard to say how good (or bad) this hotel is because I'm not sure how the other hotels stack up in the area. Coron is not yet fully developed as a "vacation destination". It's very "native" - little shacks, stray dogs and cats, old, run down town. So, if I compare the hotel to the rest of the town, it is very nice. But if I compare the room to what I would expect from a 3.5 star hotel, it is very disappointing. WiFi only works in the lobby; the toilet seats didn't fit the toilet and slid every time you sit down; there was a dead cockroach in our shower, red ants invaded my suitcase, etc. I would assume all of this is normal for the not-yet-developed town. I must say that the towels and bedding were clean; the toilets flushed; we had hot water; the staff was friendly and accommodating; there was a security guard outside; it was next to the water; there was a restaurant downstairs; little shopping area behind the building.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location by the sea

We missed our flight to coron due to non notification of the airline for its reschedule because of the coming typhoon.we were 2 days delayed but the staff made an adjustment with our booking with no expense on us.the room was big for a couple like us.toilet and bath was spacious too.the hotel was near the port, walking distance from mt. Tapyas, we were able to capture the amazing sunrise, the hotel was very close to the market and restos.the staff also gave us huge discount for the remaining nights stayed in the hotel. Only booked 3 nights so we can try the other nearby hotels, but since we're satisfied, we chosed to stay up to the day of our departure.

The place is awesome! We loved the people and location, the only problem however was a few large cockroaches in our Executive Suite. It happens and was not the big of deal but it was a great time staying there.

The hotel is a little tired due to its age but the rooms are really big and extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for diving, island hoping or just walking up the road for dinner. There can be a bit of noise in this area in the morning, prayers, roosters or weird music. On our first visit we were upgraded to the presidential room which was amazing. After a few days on an island we decided to stay here again before flying home . She acknowledged us as "returning guests" and again gave us a better room. I would stay here again.

Convenient. Helpful staff to help decorate the room and give surprise to my girlfriend. Water pressure is not stable.

everything was awesome although it was disappointing, the staff seems to not like what they are doing they always say will send it to your room or we will follow up with you but we had to ask 4 times before getting what we need.
