Great stay. Very comfortable. 600m walk to the tavern for a meal along with shops, cafes and other restaurants and fruit and vegetable shop and clothing stores.would definitely recommend.

Friendly staff and clean and comfy warm room. Early winter though and a clear cold night froze the hot water cylinders so no hot water for a morning shower wasn’t great.

Was disappointed on arrival as was told they had overbooked. We were moved to another hotel in the town. We were looking forward to staying at kentish hills retreat but were highly disappointed 😞

At the edge of a quaint little Tasmanian village. Nice to walk up into town for dinner and some shopping. They also have alpacas on property if you want to check out some friendly livestock. The hostess (owner?) was quite helpful with recommendations and making changes so we could get a load of laundry done too.

The room has a musky smell and the carpet signs of age and somewhat dirty looking even if the reception said it had beej cleaned. The room heater is very noisy too.

Enjoyed seeing the alpacas even though due to the previous wet weather the route for a close-up was a bit boggy. Garden area well maintained. Room was comfortable and clean. Amenities good. Only stopped for 1 night. Great service and food at the pub. Nice walk around town seeing the murals. Tidy.

The pictures didn’t do this justice. A large family unit with a kitchenette in a quiet rural setting a shot walk from the town of Sheffield. It was so well located for exploring the area we booked a second night and stayed on.

This is a very good and clean hotel for the price. It is nicely placed on the way to Cradle Mountain from Devonport. We saw all the stars and Milky Way at night
