Right in the heart of town.

This place is a little gem, I would recommend anyone to stay here, this has been recently renovated and is looking great. The owners ere very welcoming and have don a great job, along with the rooms the gardens are well maintained. Great place.

Clean, comfortable, quiet with several dining options and cafes within a few minutes walk of the motel. Friendly and helpful staff.

An actual reception office with friendly proprietors rather than the impersonal keypad check-in that seems to be the norm now. Walking distance to shops, dining and wineries.

The Motel room was extremely dusty and my son ended up being ill so we departed in the middle of the night as no-one could sleep and he kept sneezing and coughing. His face was swollen and eyes sore. We were also rushed to get there as the Managers were going out and wanted to close up early. The rang on the way wanting to know when we would arrive. I felt that the reception was not very friendly and wanted the money quickly, no regard to customer service or care just pay up, remember your key so you don't inconvenience us and that was it. Not very welcoming. Too me it was a waste of money and I will think twice about staying there again

We stayed overnight on the way up to Sydney. The rooms were lovely and clean and close to all the shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend

Although a bit dated the room is spacious and has all facilities you would need including a pod coffee machine. Shower was over the spa bath but it had a large shower head and really good pressure. Bathroom a decent size too and very clean.

Was pleasantly surprised with the extra touches/comfort to the room. The bed was nice and firm and the linen was lovely and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this accommodation. The rear entry to the public bar and bistro is at your back door. Very convenient. Meals are great too!

Central location gives plenty of dining options for dinner or Breakfast. Very handy kitchenette with fridge, MW and toaster, kettle. Can walk to local parklands, playground for kids and stroll around the lake. Good room heating, electric blankets on beds, additional facilities in rooms incl ironing board, extra pillows, blankets etc. Would certainly stay here again.

Great little hotel in the centre of Rutherglen. It is at the back of the Poachers Hotel (which when open, you can walk through to the other side of the street) Studio room was spacious. It had a Queen bed, lounge, coffee table and small table. Lots of bench space in the room. Good sized wardrobe. Microwave, Fridge, Kettle, cups, some bowls, knives, and forks as well as tea / coffee making facilities. The bathroom was also very spacious with plenty of bench room for your toiletries. The bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows etc available. Foxtel was on the TV and parking was right out the front of my room. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They also turned the air con on in advance for me, so the room was nice and warm when I arrived later in the evening. For the geographically challenged, please note that your GPS will take you to the front of the hotel and not the Motel entrance. So put Murray Street in your GPS or it will take you to Main Street (which is around the corner). I would definitely recommend staying here and would do so again.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The motel is immaculately maintained. The room had everything we needed. Microwave, jug, toaster and crockery/cutlery. Thought had gone into the little things such as biscuits and lollies to have with a coffee. The room is air conditioned, but a pedestal fan is also provided. We particularly liked that each room has a security screen door. Even though the days were warm, at night we slept with the main door open and fan on. No need to use the a/c. The motel backs onto an hotel of the same name, so food and drink is handy. Rutherglen is a great town and centrally located to explore other towns nearby

It was nice and comfy and clean. Perfect distance to the street and walks around lake area.

We arrived there around midday after travelling up from Wangaratta. Despite being early, motel staff were able to let us check in to our room. This was a god send, as the heavens opened up not long after we had unpacked. The heavy rain soon passed and we were able to pleasantly wander round the town. The lady at reception did advise us that they had been contacted by the power company to say there would be work in the area from 8.00 am the next day so we would need to use whatever power we needed prior to that in the morning. This would mean an early start but at least we were warned. As it was it didn't really affect us. The room was very tidy, clean and comfortable and had really all the amenities you require. Bathroom was especially spacious and at least double the size of the one we had had the night before in Wangaratta. Motel was at the rear of the Poacher's Paradise Hotel but we didn't find it noisy at all. Easy access from motel car park through to Hotel. Hotel is in the main street of Rutherglen and everything is in walking distance, except for the wineries (of which there are numerous) but they are all in close proximity to the town. Always enjoy our visits to Rutherglen and surrounds and was very happy with the accommodation, so will no doubt stay there again.

Stayed for 1 night as I was passing through. Very clean and spacious room. Excellent staff were cheerful and helpful. Fuss free place that's a good stay. Definitely will return if in the area again.
