It was better than I thought it was going to be. The building are pretty old but rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable enough and the hot water comes straight away. I’d maybe upgrade the showerheads. Breakfast was above average. Good quality muesli and plenty of yogurt to choose from. Fresh bread. Plenty of bacon, meat balls and fried eggs, not just scrambled.

Traveling from Denmark to Norway, so had a stop over here , friendly close to fuel shops etc nice big room it could do with a little TLC but it's not bad , breakfast was very good, I'd recommend it for a short stay , definitely

The hotel is not in Strömstad. A car is required and Strömstad is a 15 minute drive away. Basic and budget. No frills but clean and popular with Norwegians visiting Sweden for shopping.

Motel-style hotel about 15 min drive from Strömstad. Clean, spacious room. However, no proper ventilation in the bathrooms, so the bathroom window have to be open at all times, leaving the room damp and cold. The breakfast in itself is ok, but generally lacking lots due to understaffing, so they don’t have time to refill. I think that this is an alright stay when just passing through, but not somewhere to stay for several nights.

The hotel itself is situated right next to all the big supermarkets so it kind of looks more like a motel. However, the beds were very comfortable and it looked clean. Breakfast was okey as well. However in the description it said pets stay for free but i was charged 250 sek for my dog even though i had wrote in advance when booking that I am arriving with one. Furthermore i paid a price with breakfast and free parking but all the parking spots in front were already taken forcing me to park in front in the supermarket spots. I had a ticket in the morning for that. With all these additional cost It wasnt worth it in the end.

Food very poor standard. Breakfast Scrambled Eggs was sweet obviously sugar rather than salt.

Perfekt stopp på veien hjem til Bergen fra ferie og før en siste handletur i Sverige. Perfekt overnatting med hund, ingen tepper på gulvet og egen inngang. God frokost.

When we checked into the Nordby Hotell there was a bit lost in translation during reception. The dinner buffet closed early, leaving us with only fast food options. The rooms were rather old and tired, and not all that clean. I believe we paid a bit too much for these rooms. On the bright side, the breakfast buffet was lovely.

The name of the hotel has changed (for some time) so look for Nordby Hotell NOT RASTA. You can't miss the hotel it is right next to a massive Shopping Mall's Car Park. Free WiFi demands a Google or Facebook account sign in (I had a reception staff member circumvent this as I don't have nor want either account) but it all took time to sort out. Took full payment on arrival which suggest guests do runners. Breakfast was pretty average. Room (6) window catch required being hit with a boot to properly secure after it had been opened. Lockable door to bathroom (shower/toilet/basin) to keep your loved ones but no blind or curtain on the plain glass window where tall people passing could look through it!

Located right next to one of the biggest Shopping malls at the Bohuslän coast, we found this Hotel to be a very pleasant surprise. Location is not scenic, but VERY "useful". The nearby Shopping mall has stores for every need and Food for every taste. And if you are caught in bad weather like we were, the mall also gives you a great Option to kill some time. The rooms are clean and comfortable -- and surprisingly quiet. The Restaurant has good Food too. So you do not even thave to walk te entire Shopping mall for Food. It was the cheapest Hotel we had during our trip, but if offered the best bargain for the Price. Recommendable without restrictions.
