Perfect one night stay over for us Will recommend

A short walk to the main beach and also to main street shopping. Large mature trees provides shade on hot summer days. Duffy's Fish and Chips Restaurant on-site has a good menu and excellent food.

The grounds around our room were poorly maintained and there was broken furniture and garbage around our room. The staff was helpful but the outside was poorly kept. There were also people Smoking outside our room. The room itself needed some further work - covers on outlets, finishing around the air conditioner and the wifi did not work most of the time.

Several years ago a relative loved this place hence the reason for coming. It is in a good location with lovely back yard but now it needs major TLC and updating. Room very small. Picture online shows a table and 2 chairs in the room but none in ours. Not sufficient plugs for electrical charging. There was no bedside lamp.

The place was very durty, staff never at the front desk, nobody in the building, weird vibes in the whole place, carpet unclean, no body soap provided. Absolutely dont recommend this place at all.

Only 1 towel and no staff to get more. It also says coffee/tea in common area, but that was not so. Bed was comfortable. Close to beach, 5 min walk to beach.

Quiet and convenient.. the beach is 5 minute walk and the food at Duffy’s(their restaurant) was good.. the A/C was great during that week when temps hit 35C. The only issue I had was finding someone about towels one day and their internet went out for 6 hours, doesn’t mean it was their fault, could have been BT.

A lovely beautiful place to stay for short vacations. Duffy’s restaurant is on the property which offers live music in the evenings. Friendly staff.

Great building and private suite. Gas fireplace a blessing in cold stormy snow. Space to wonder indoors. Close to lake for winter walks or uptown. Front staff very considerate and helpfull.

I had to ask for hand towels and face cloths. No soap in dispenser at sink. No spare toilet paper, only roll on holder. No instructions for operation of TV. No one available to show us.

I visited for a stormy off-season weekend, and nearly had the place to myself. The hosts were very welcoming, the (stormy and deserted) beach was very close. Great place, hope to see it some time in sunnier weather.

Amazing little cozy rooms

Better than many places that I have stayed at in low- and middle-income countries.

Outdated hotel with old mattress and bed sheets. Hallways had an awful smell. You could hear conversations from the neighboring bedrooms. The very small bedroom was far from being clean: There were spiderwebs on the lamps, hair in the bathroom and soap on the shower curtain. When I told the front desk lady the room wasn't clean, she answered "No, it is clean" ... I didn't even try the included breakfast, served from 8:30 AM, at which time I had already left this filthy hotel

No air conditioning, no tv and bathtub was in room with the bed. The cost was good

The worst place I have ever stayed. There was no one at the front desk ever. The rooms are very very small and bathroom is even smaller.

A quaint place.... excellent location and good value. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

This could be a lovely spot but is very tired. Rooms are extremely small with old curtains etc. so much so that it felt like camping not a hotel. Very clean and a nice backyard area but the whole place has not been updated for decades. Our TV did not work and when reported to staff (who was very nice) they just said property is being sold but didn’t offer any solutions and just said the wifi was working. Could be a lovely spot with total refurbishment but wouldn’t recommend at the moment. Very bare bones.

While the location was great (just a few blocks from the shore), this bed and breakfast stay was only so-so. The room was very small, the bedding had a musty smell, the hot water supply took a while to reach the room, there were no kleenex available, and the breakfast was only a continental (toast, yogurt, etc.). Further, communication with staff was difficult. I did like the use of the kitchen facilities, especially the refrigerator/freezer for storage of cold items, and the availability of hair dryer and glassware.

I never felt unsafe, so there is that. Unfortunately everything in the hotel is very run down, there’s zero sound proofing, the hotel appears to be family run & they don’t seem to have adequate staffing and expertise and everything is done on the cheap and it really shows. The worse part was we get into the bed (for the first time) and we felt sand. I went immediately to the front desk to explain the situation and instead of an apology and a quick fix, I had to convince the worker/owner that I was telling the truth. When she arrived to changed the sheets (with clean but ripped ones) my wife helps her make the bed and she didn’t say sorry, thanks or anything. So much for customer service. If you have options, don’t stay here.
