Really great location close to the airport so you get to avoid some of the traffic in the city. Staff at the hotel were all great start to finish, the food at the restaurants and room service was excellent and the staff were always attentive and available.
The hotel driver (Khokon) was also great, was always on time and easy to communicate with.

This is a very good hotel. Not superb….but very good. A few things I could pick at, but the biggest is the lighting in the room.
Staying over 100 nights a year in different hotels, I’m convinced that the management doesn’t actually STAY in their rooms for a few days. They walk in and look around and think about staying there. But only after you actually STAY in a room for more than a day do you begin to see holes.
There are hotels that I don’t expect everything to be right, and I don’t complain. However, at these prices, there should be nothing wrong.
The one thing I’ll mention is the lighting in the room. It is odd at best. The biggest thing is that if you want to turn the light on over the bed, you have to have all the other lights in the room off. You can’t have the bed light and the room lights on at the same time. I even called the manager and he tried, and said that it was programmed that way deliberately. It’s annoying….really annoying. And again, normally I wouldn’t care….but at these prices, it shouldn’t be this way. I suspect that Marriott made this decision, so that a person couldn’t turn on all the lights at once and supposedly waste electricity….however… for $400+ a night….I shouldn’t have to say this.
Then there is no light over the coffee maker and fridge area. It’s completely dark. Then there is no light above the tub…again….dark.
So, overall a very good hotel. But for this price, it should be superb.

Check in was horrible. There was no line. People came from all over the place and overtaking. One of the manager was giving preference to his known people. The breakfast selection was good. Room service was slow. Overall, I will not stay there again.

I specially asked for the shuttle service as we had 12 pieces of luggage, instead they sent me a HiAce, same happened again on drop off. There is a communication issue between staff desk and their concierge desk - requests/instructions are not tracked/followed through and you end up having to explain the same thing to 5/6 people before its resolved.

Excellent staff: starting from front desk to housecleaning, flawless service. I stayed in Dhaka Radison blu & Westin before, Le Meridien service is 100 times better. Tanzila Akhter and MATT @ the bufft restaurant provided the final touch on exceeding service. They greeted us every time we were there for breakfast or dinner. Tanzila Akhter actually remembered our beverage choice( Perrier water and Black coffee) and brought it to us before we could even ask her, Amazing hospitality. I would definitely stay there for all future business trips to Dhaka and I plan to be back in 12 weeks time. I never expected such hotel service in a city where customer service is not at par with USA. Very impressed.

I actually liked the location and thotel car pick up services. The driver was nice and patient even my flight arrival in the early morning. Staffs were warm, helpful and quick check-in proces, made me more comfortable and welcomed.

I have visited to stay 3 times (back & forth) in my recent trip to Southeast Asia. Each time to check-in,I have to wait more than 30-mins to check in even though it was pre-paid reservation. at first June 18-21, 2nd June 30th, & lastly at July 10-13th. The staffs are very professional & excellent. Please reduce waiting time .

Overall, I dont think you can put this in a Five Star category for various reasons but certainly a solid Four Star outfit with hints of Five. Not particularly cheap either - rooms or otherwise. I guess youre paying for a place that works pretty well.

I have checked item is correct, but every item need top up service charges and head charges!! Anyway my boss settled the payment by credit card!After that ....he said the bill was incorrect,he print the 3rd bill to us , the payment is over 8000hkd. I found they put the room charges 1600hk into the bill again. I did not agree this payment since if they told me the total charges is 3200hkd per room, I can booked another room or upgrade the biggest room.They cannot explain it and they just said it was from the computer......How comes? We ll not choosing this hotel again

Le Meridien is luxury hotel in Dhaka with all new facilities Only complaint is higher pricing on meals etc that comes with luxury accommodations. Five minutes from airport when leaving but little longer due to roads upon arrival. Be sure and go to top floors to see views of Dhaka

I stayed for 5 nights, it's almost the most expensive hotel in Dhaka or even in the region, almost 30 Dollars for a pizza, 40 dollars for a pasta , since you can't eat in streets as there is no any international restaurants all are local restaurants you will be forced to eat in the hotel and actually the hotel are using this point very well.
smell of the hotel stinks I was in 8th floor and most of the time smelling sewage.
Will never check in in that hotel again, I recommend radisson instead.
