Lovely wood cabins which were very comfortable. Very welcoming, friendly and knowledgable hosts.

We had an enjoyable one night stay. The cabins are very conveniently located within walking distance of the town and riverfront park. The cabin was very well appointed. Hope to get back for a longer stay next time!

Caretaker of the grounds was on scene to meet all three families that arrived at different times. Cabin was spacious and clean. Town was a quick walk / drive away. Would recommend.

It was walkable to the rest of the town. Owners were very nice and gave a lot of great advice and were very helpful and super friendly.

Absolutely awesome location. Clean, quiet, comfy. Was perfect for our trip! Owner even picked us up at the train, gave us a tour of town, pointing out the best places to visit, then gave us a ride back to the train when we left.

Our stay at Chinook Wind Cabins was wonderful. The cabin was very clean, well-built and provided everything our family of five needed. The area is quiet and peaceful and we slept well. The proximity to restaurants and shops was wonderful. We loved being able to walk around town, eat at the great restaurants, and visit the cute shops without having to drive. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely return to the Chinook Wind Cabins!

This is the perfect property for a stay with kids, easy walking to downtown with options for dining, shopping and views of Denali within minutes! M

Owner was super friendly from the moment we arrived. Apologized that he didn't know we were coming in on the train and said he would have picked us up. (It was an wasy 10 minute walk from the train station.) Cabin was perfect for a family of 4 and could have slept more comfortably. We took him up on the ride offer when we left and he was again very friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

The cabin worked out perfectly for our stay in Talkeetna. We could walk to the jet boat business which was wonderful. We could also easily walk to local restaurants. Talkeetna is lovely and we would highly recommended Chinook Wind Cabins.

The cabin was very clean and had a huge tv. We loved the location and could walk everywhere.

Mike went the extra mile for us. After the train dropped us off in Talkeetna wasn’t sure how we would get to Chinook Cabins. Mike dropped everything and picked us up. At the end of our stay he even took us back to the station. Great place to stay and great customer service from Mike and his wife Tracey.

This was a great stagging spot for our Denali climb. Close to the air strip and tow.

We had only a one night stay in Talkeetna. Mike picked us up at the train depot, showed us around town, and because of the circumstances, allowed us a late check out which really made things easy for us. Great place to stay.

The wind cabin was our home away from home. 4 of us traveling together and we had a good amount of space, clean, excellent amenities and convenient to town. Communication was clear and efficient. Felt very prepared and welcomed for our time in Talkeetna. Essentially everything that we were looking for and it absolutely met or exceeded our expectations!!

The owner was nice enough to call me when I left an item behind and was attentive. TV was limited and confusing. One bed had no real side table.

Property was great and the staff even better. Will stay again. Thank you!

Upstairs area with twin beds and downstairs queen/full bed is great for families. Cabin was clean, allowed parking in front of cabin, and was furnished nicely.

Cabin was perfect! Loved being able to walk to Main Street for shopping and food! Beautiful little town! Took us back in time!

Small, cute, clean cabin. Property owners communicated well. Only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. Recommend if in the area.
